You know, after a loss its not a good time to f*** around with bulls*** trade rumors.

Queen Prawn: If your looking a cheap place to host your wedding party, VFW halls are a good bet. My brothers wedding reception was at one, and while that was 5 years ago, don't recall neither his wife (or my parents) voicing displeasure with the particular hall. Its likely not the extravagent country club many couples look for, but if cost is a concern VFW halls are second to none. My brothers was at VFW post off 63rd and Harlem (Across from Argo High School). I take it you know where it is.

http://www.dailyherald.com/sports/sports_s...?intID=38155160 From the title of this thread I was hoping Ben Sheets was in the crosshairs of KW. Overall, nothing new. The author (Scot Gregor) believes KW is close to a deal because he appears to be in a "zone" The last paragraph is unsettling: f*** yeah its enough. s***, Jeremy Reed and Jon Rauch for either Hernandez or Garcia would be overpaying. Garcia, as the article implies, looms as a potential "rent a player" for the Sox. If Sox make the trade, atleast commit Freddy to signing a contract extension (Hopefully not for 10million/yr. Thats insane) Hernandez would atleast present a reliable front line starter for several years, but one question remains: is he capable of (continually) pitching 200+ innings without arm troubles? While Rauch doens't bother me, the notion of including Reed in either of these trades is cause for concern. If theres one thing I don't want, Its KW panicing for another starter and shelling out our top prospects. At maximum, how long would you expect Livian or Garcia to remain with the Sox? Levian two years, Garcia three? ( JR would unlikely sign either beyond) Whereas a cheap Reed in the OF could remain a fixture in the lineup for many years.

Within the shadows of this thread I have quietly browsed. From the infancy of this thread until now I have followed the arguments of the posters, but have felt no urgency to defend my position (or that of others that support it; Jug). Reason: because every solitary point/argument has been regurgitated numerous times; page after page. No foul in that. It just appears several posters may have become annoyed in this thread continually bumping itself. You bastards have taken my creation and raised it to a level comparable with the b****ass Passionless thread. -
One of my favorites is the episode in which Homer becomes Mr Burns' "Prank Monkey". -Sitting in Cafeteria w/ Homer. Mr. Burns: (Picks up pudding) Throw this, at that (Points at Lenny) Homer: But...he's a war hero. Mr. Burns: Well, lets decorate him Homer: No! Mr. Burns: Not even for 4 dollars? (Homer picks up pudding, hurls at Lenny) Lenny: Aw my eye, my doctor said I'm not supposed to get any pudding in it. (After a short conversation, Homer throws another glass of pudding with the incentive of more money. Again, hits Lenny in the eye) Lenny: I'M IN HELL!! Another favorite of mine is the classic 'cartoon crossover', where Jay Sherman(from "the Critic") is the guest of the Simpsons: -Scene from his video entry into the Springfield Film Festival Barney: Hello, My name is Barney Gumbel and I'm an alcoholic Lisa: Mr. Gumbel, this is a Girl Scouts meeting. Barney: Is It? Or is it that you girls can't admit you have a problem. Other noteables: -22 Short Stories -Story of how Homer and Marge met -Lisa's first words -Radioactive Man the Movie -Homer/Bart are conjoined after a court ruling.

Which is worse: Abiding to terrorist demands and setting a dangerous precedent, or ignoring their requests and basically conceeding the life of an American? There's only one guarantee: public backlash awaits Bush.

I pointed this out in the chat. Seattle has sushi because there is a large population of Asians living within the city. While it would certainly be welcomed at the cell, I just don't picture many Sox fans passing Hotdogs/nachos/churros over SUSHI.

5/6 through 2 innings have been from strikeout. Prior's breaking pitch is sharp, fastball is well located; this spells trouble for Houston hitters. A predetermined pitch count may be the only force which halts Prior tonight.

Charles Barkley he is not. Dusche-bag extravagant; yes. In his own world he's never wrong. I love it how he presents himself as so articulate. This is the sort of sentences he babbles during Sportscenter exclusives: "The Lakers in game one were so COM-PLA-CENT and LE-THAR-GIC I was shuddering at the COM-PLEX-I-TIES which detailed their loss. " This, of course, is all said yelling.

How about after filling yourself with crow, you wash it down with a tall glass of SHUT THE HELL UP. It takes a poster of true integrity to admit his mistakes. After all, this is only an online message board. We can all make ridiculous statements/predictions and latch only to the ones which turn out correctly. Hopefully you have leftover crow Nuke, because many posters should have their share. If they don't admit it, then I'll have to bump old threads 'Hammerhead Jonhson' style.

Again, Angels choke against a scrub Cub reliever. Cubs unfortantely understand the concept of clutch hitting. Cubs lead 6-5 bottom of the 15th.

If Carlos continues, he will be the biggest thing

36 games. A Castillo type player (someone with short stroke, quick bat speed, fast runner) are the one's with the highest likelihood of reaching DiMaggio. For a player who is primarily a pull hitter, with not much speed, I'm surprised Lee has prolonged the streak this far. However he has changed his hitting approach its working; the obvious drop in SLG % tells me he is concentrating more on contact, which you need to chase the dubious mark. -
Angels continue to choke. Onward to the 15th.
-
First base umpire makes a GREAT call at 1B to end the 13th for the Cubs. If they lose, this will be their excuse.

Over dramatized catch (at the warning track) by Hollandsworth sends this game into the 13th.

One of your writers (Mike Mathis) wrote a column which says Thomas has decided to stay with the Sox next year for 6 million. The thread Mike referred to was revived from last October http://www.soxtalk.com/index.php?showtopic=11516. Its old news; hammerhead johnson bumped the thread.

When I attempted to chat yesterday I ran across the following message: You do not have a java enabled web browser Anyone know where I can download a component that would allow me to chat.

Hawk sure was excited: "Shingo with the FRISBEE!!!!!!!!...............(Throws to first)..........YES!!!!!!!!!"

So THIS is what a 1-2-3 inning looks like. SOX WIN, SOX WIN, SSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOXXXXX WIN
-
Frank f***ing smoked that. 10-8 Sox.
-
Baines (probably) doesn't give a f*** about building up Botch's confidence. Shingo SAN is warming.
-
Politte is terrible. Wild Pitch advances two runners (both of which were Martes responsibility); Eliminates the double play. Two hits follow, and this game has turned into a one run game. Only batter retired by Politte was from a nice force play turned by Uribe. This ump not calling the outside corner isn't helping.

I've chatted before, but in this instance there's a messge which says I lack a "java enabled web browser"

Philadelphia laying down for the Twins. 4-1 Twins in the top of the 7th.
-
Love Marte's enthusiam. Chipper K's on a 93 MPH fastball for the final out of this inning.
