Marte's drop in velocity is beginning to concern me. Haven't seen him throw harder than 91 MPH last several weeks.
EDIT: Right when I type that he hits 93.
OZZIE: you gawn. Didn't take long for the call to be made.
That was a terrible call by the umpire. Olivo framed it, Esteban wanted it, but the Umpire didn't budge.
Anyone hear DJ when Olivo showed displeasure with that pitch.
"I don't know what he's complaining about, that ball appeared to be a strike." Is he a Sox fan? I've never heard him show emotion or enthusiam for the Sox outside of saying "YES"
Someone needs to tell Esteban the fundementals of pitching: which include NOT leaving pitches over the plate behind the count. Another would be to limit his breaking pitch, because its hanging in the zone.
No argument from Bobby Cox or any of the outfielders.
Replays show the ball hit the poll above the yellow line; home run. Hope no umpires make an errant call.
That's a valiant point, but good pitchers dont' become flustered after a bad call. IIRC, Schoe was up 2-2 on Morrero when he layed a 91 MPH fastball down the heart of the plate. That's nobodys fault but his own.
No, he hasn't.
Braves game plan (for the RH's) is to hit opposite field off Schoe. After two innings through the lineup you would think Scott understands that; NOPE.
How the f*** did this guy fly under the radar of KW last offseason?
Wright was let go......on waivers.......by San Diego. I understand hindsight is "20/20," but DAMN, this guy would of been great for us.
