  1. Marte's drop in velocity is beginning to concern me. Haven't seen him throw harder than 91 MPH last several weeks. EDIT: Right when I type that he hits 93.
  2. This is exceedingly annoying. Marte is walking FAR too many batters.
  3. Lee hits the ball into right field, driving in Uribe from second. 8-6 Sox. 2 on, 2 out, Valentin up.
  4. Nasty bounce off the dividing line between the dirt/grass (near second) gives Uribe a single. Leadoff man aboard, the Big Man up.
  5. The crowd is applauding a foul tip off the umpires mask. :fthecubs
  6. OZZIE: you gawn. Didn't take long for the call to be made. That was a terrible call by the umpire. Olivo framed it, Esteban wanted it, but the Umpire didn't budge.
  7. Anyone hear DJ when Olivo showed displeasure with that pitch. "I don't know what he's complaining about, that ball appeared to be a strike." Is he a Sox fan? I've never heard him show emotion or enthusiam for the Sox outside of saying "YES"
  8. Olivo overcomes a bad 1-1 strike call and drives in Konerko on a RBI groundout. 7-6 Sox.
  9. Fans are rightfully booing Crede. All he needs is f***ing contanct, and the dips*** K's.
  10. Great bunt single for TIMO. He advances to second (Paulie to third) on a throwing error. 2 on, NOBODY out. Joe needs to come through right not.
  11. Alfonseca is warming for Atlanta. This game is ours.
  12. Someone needs to tell Esteban the fundementals of pitching: which include NOT leaving pitches over the plate behind the count. Another would be to limit his breaking pitch, because its hanging in the zone.
  13. Not good. Four straight non quality starts from White Sox pitching. 6-4 Atlanta.
  14. No argument from Bobby Cox or any of the outfielders. Replays show the ball hit the poll above the yellow line; home run. Hope no umpires make an errant call.
  15. I'm too lazy to back track through the thread, has Carlos extended his hit streak?
  16. That's a valiant point, but good pitchers dont' become flustered after a bad call. IIRC, Schoe was up 2-2 on Morrero when he layed a 91 MPH fastball down the heart of the plate. That's nobodys fault but his own.
  17. No, he hasn't. Braves game plan (for the RH's) is to hit opposite field off Schoe. After two innings through the lineup you would think Scott understands that; NOPE.
  18. How the f*** did this guy fly under the radar of KW last offseason? Wright was let go......on waivers.......by San Diego. I understand hindsight is "20/20," but DAMN, this guy would of been great for us.
  19. I'll give Wright some credit. Several of his pitches have had explosive movement tonight.
  20. :puke Expect a Minnesota victory. Twins only lose when we lose, and win when we lose.
  21. Hawk is rightfully pissed. This does happen every time Sox are screwed on a pitch. But 8 hits through three innings cannot be blamed on the umpire.
  22. Hawk is right, Marrero represents a HUGE out. This game can be decided on this batter.
  23. Schoe doesn't realize this. He continues to pitch the outside corner and aid the Atlanta hitters in driving the ball to RF.
  24. JD Drew cannot read LH's. 2 K's for him tonight, 3rd overall for Schoe. 1 out in the 3rd.
