Bases loaded no outs he grounds back to Maddux who completes a double play. The score was 3-1 Cubs and Piazza killed any momentum from that inning.

First off, welcome aboard POTUS. I usually don't welcome new posters, but since you're from Palos Heights I had to make an exception. Back to the story, were the two errors you listed (robinventura) in the same article? I don't have yesterdays article in front of me, but its unusual for any newspaper to report false facts within their Sports articles.

4/23 Game Thread: Sox vs. D-Rays
Flash Tizzle replied to BridgeportHeather's topic in Pale Hose Talk
You do realize that if you wrong the post will be quoted with a blinding array of :fyou :puke emoticons. Realistically, I'm worried about E-lo's game tonight because Tampa probably made the necessary adjustments from last weeks shutout. Hopefully I'm wrong and Cy Este continues keep the DRays off balanced with an assortment of quality pitches. -
The KGB has yet to release the classified documents detailing Brandos reason for becoming a Sox fan.

Either I heard the information incorrectly on WGN or Mariotti is wrong. In today's article he claims only 10% (not 100) of the money is given to charity, and batting practice is $10,000 (not 5 K) http://www.suntimes.com/output/mariotti/cst-spt-jay23.html

This excerpt taken from Whitesox.com is not a quote, but deserves to be included in this thread:

CWS, Metra (specifically Southwest Service) has stations on 143, 153, and 179th streets in Orland Park. What makes no sense about this rail line is that it passes RIGHT BESIDES the Cell but doesn't have a stop there. For me to go to a game (I ride the train to school) I would have to walk from Union Station to the blue line, and then ride the blue line to the transfer point for the red line. If that isn't stressful enough, the last train leaving Union Station leaves at 8:30pm; which means you're screwed for any game after 6:00 pm. Thinking about going to weekend games? Dont. Metra is not in service on weekends. The only games you could possibly attend riding the train there and back would be a day game within the week.

Anybody watching WGN? White Sox are giving fans the opportunity to work on the field. In what is probably Rob Gallas' last PR disaster, here is what the following money gets you: $1000 - Change bases during the 5th inning $1500- - Give line up card to ump before game $5000 - batting practice on an offday and a picnic in the park. All money generated is given to White Sox charity.

GOD DAMN that was close play. Sox win on a great DP by Uribe, Harris, Konerko. Marte.....you are the s***.
-
Don't worry guys, Marte will not forsake us.
-
Damaso you gave up a lead off single..........now strike out the side. DO IT NOW.
-
No Koch? Ozzie must have alot of faith in botch to ignore his "closer" in a one run game.
-
Sox have hit into DP's in THREE straight innings. If they don't win this game its their inability to left the damn ball out of the outfield.
-
I'll give you a clue which Soxfanforever should figure out: ...........
-
Fans must be adopting a Cub mentality in which every call is supposed to go their way. If this was in Wrigley the outfield would of been littered with trash and the media would (again) look the other way.

Dad grew up on South Side of Chicago, where everyone in the family was a devouted Sox fan. In my early years (late 80s) my dad would take me out to games at old comiskey; of which I have a few memories. He brainwashed me the same way I'm going to for my children. Never was told (directly) to dislike the Cubs, it just sort of developed as my passion for the Pale Hose stregthened.

Willa "No game" embarrasses himself yet again. He cannot read Moose; thankfully that should be his last at bat of the evening.
-
Politte throwing some gas out of the pen. 96 MPH and he gets f***ed on the strike three call. Do we have questec at the Cell?
-
Thats enough, go to the pen.
-
Hey, Ump finally awoke and called a strike! Unfortunately he missed the one that should of K'd Clark.
-
Usually when I make those comments they come back to haunt me. The second game against KC( at the Cell) I thought there was NO way the Sox would win after Kansas began to come back. Sox won, of course.
-
Uribe would of been out by a mile if Posada threw to second.
-
CREDE, with a bomb to left field! He crushed that hanging breaking ball. 4-2 Sox.
-
s***field pops out to Uribe to end the Yanks half of the 6th. Any word on Schlongs pitch count?
-
Great call by a fan: "Are the Yanks buying you too ump!"
