welcome you'll have fun here.......unless iguchi is a bust

Bruce Levine discusses Iguchi and Willie
I agree w/ the people saying to keep willie. Whats the harm in keeping him just to be a quality bench player, pinch runner, etc.... it's not like he's making any serious $$$$.
-
Jan 24th the most "depressing" day of the year
If Iguchi fails his physical or something, I won't argue

Dull offseason or is it moi?
how can you call this a dull offseason? We were by far one of the most active teams this offseason. There are so many teams that did not make a major deal the entire offseason, what more do you want dude?

My back is killing me, but I will probably go and tackle the rest in an hour or so. Hey QP, i didn't know you lived around alsip? Do you live in the mt. greenwood area or something?

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 20, 2005 -> 07:17 AM) SECURITY!!! In all seriousness, I think I have learning in going to five or six Soxfests now, is the more people you meet, the more fun it is. I highly recommend hooking up with as many people as possible at these things. That goes for the ballpark as well. i definitely agree. I spent the entire weekend with people from this board and had an awesome time.

an excerpt from the email i got from the krush president, this email was sent to all krush members "Plus, EA Sports will be at the Assembly Hall Thursday to shoot some footage for NCAA March Madness 2006, the popular college basketball video game. Sometime before the Iowa game, they plan to take video footage of Krush for the cameos that are played when you first turn the video game on. The crazier you dress, and the more creative you are, the better chance YOUR face will be locked in a video game. Follow this link to see examples of cameos from the latest March Madness game: http://www.easports.com/games/marchmadness.../home.jsp" OOOOOH YEAH

College Athletes
With the amount of time they have to put into their sport, especially the major ones, yes, i believe they should get paid. It would have to be a set limit and the same for every player on a team, nothing extravagant, more like some spending money, around the same amount a normal college kid would get from a part time job. Something like that.

MVP Baseball 2005
I'll definitely try and get together a soxtalk league like last year, even though that fizzled out. We'll try again.

QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 04:20 PM) Brian, I got your PM, and I'm in. I'll definitely do that. I know it's early, but I assume we'll be tailgating that game as well as Opening Day...? awesome, i'm in w/ brian for both games as well. I'd be willing to bet that there'll be some massive tailgating for both games.
