I'm starting to lean toward ditching my driver and hitting something smaller and more controllable off the tee. I just have no confidence in my driver and lessons haven't helped w that club. Any wood recommendations? Anyone tried Taylormade's mini driver?

All New Soccer Thread ~ All Levels ~ All Leagues
QUOTE (danman31 @ Mar 8, 2015 -> 06:03 PM) MLS anyone? It's opening weekend. Unfortunately, the Fire look bad again. The turnover they did with their roster was pretty staggering, we'll see if it works. Why do they seem to always a brutal road game to open up their season?

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 25, 2015 -> 09:00 AM) Parks n Rec finale was fitting. Nothing great or memorable. Last year's finale was better. I liked this season, but would have been perfectly fine if it ended w/ last season.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 4, 2015 -> 04:41 PM) I would say make it a process. Get fitted, ask them what the measurements were and why. Then search on 2nd swing for those exact ones for more than 50% off what they charge you. I would go to at least 2 places to make sure you try the kinds you want. I personally HATE swinging a club in a little box inside so I've done this at outside fitting days. any specific places in the area that you'd recommend for fitting?

So my goal this year is to consistently break 100. I've taken quite a few lessons this winter that should get me there. Once I break 100, I'm going to treat myself to some new irons/wedges as I'm using my FIL's hand me down's. Any recommendations or just go to a big box store and hit everything and see what feels the best?

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 3, 2015 -> 09:16 AM) Got a very exciting trip to beautiful Cleveland this weekend for a wedding. Anyone ever been to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame? Worth a visit? Meh - it was alot smaller than I was expecting. There's not much else to do there, so probably worth a visit but just lower your expectations.

I drive a different car every week and the difference between the Malibu and Impala is night and day. The impala just feels so much more solid. The redesign for both of them was really well done though.

Relationship Advice Thread
QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 4, 2015 -> 10:56 PM) So the one year wedding anniversary is in April and I'm trying to get out ahead of this thing. Did some internet research and it appears that there are two types of gifts for year 1...the traditional "paper" gift or the modern "clocks" gift. Did you guys follow these rules or did you just figure out your own gift? We've never done the traditional gifts. We usually won't exchange anything, but go out for a nice meal or take a weekend trip.

QUOTE (SnB @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 05:33 PM) I have my first lesson at golftec tomorrow. Can't wait. I've only been playing a few years but got somewhat serious about it last year. My goal is to break 100 consistently this year. Did the swing assessment there, really cool. Learned alot of little things that should help. Their tech is great and they send you all of the videos for download. However, their lesson pricing is just ridiculous. $450 for 5 30 minute lessons? Yeah - no thanks.

Super Bowl Halftime and Commercials
QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Feb 2, 2015 -> 12:32 PM) Hasn't been noted yet on this thread, but the Budweiser Macro-beer commercial was pretty terrible. As a beer drinker, I didn't like it. As a business person, I get what they were doing and thought they did a good job. It isn't going to convince any beer snobs to give Budweiser another try, but it will make their customers feel better about not being part of the "new beer culture".
