LOL. Post-game mentioned how the only other modern era pitcher to have 10+ Ks, allow no more than 1 hit, and get 3 hits did with the bat today was Catfish Hunter. Ozzie then says thank god Hawk isnt still calling the game, or else we would have had to hear Hawk talk about Catfish Hunter the entire rest of the game. Then Ozzie did a Hawk impression. Grandal isn't doing that right now though. He's been bad at the plate AND behind the plate. Being horrendous behind the plate as a catcher will result in fans getting pissed. Gallo at least gives you above average defense in the corner OF. Not enough sample size in CF yet.

You ain't wrong about his splits last year. I was pleasantly surprised after looking them up. Small sample size, but definitely encouraging. I think the Sox need to wait it out until Engel returns. Don't mortgage the future. This division is nothing special.

With Engel's defense, isn't that like a 5 WAR player in CF? I think that is overly optimistic. He's not a 300 hitter.
