  1. Oof, that would be a tough pill to swallow. 2 years would be a no brainer. That 3rd year could be rough given his age. Cubs signed Kimbrel for 3 years, 43 mil. They are regretting that deal big time.
  2. Either he is psychic or mods can see that. I'm going with the former.
  3. He should have been here when we had the "confused" emote where one eye was squinty and the other was large. People couldn't handle that one...
  4. What do you all think it takes to get Hendriks signed? 2 yr/24m? Have any big name relievers signed yet?
  5. Weren't they connected to Lynn a lot since last trade deadline?
  6. You can listen now if you like. Go back 3:40 https://www.radio.com/670thescore/listen
  7. https://www.radio.com/670thescore/listen Go to 3:40 CT if you want to listen. Hard to dislike anything he said. Really pumped for this addition now.
  8. He said he is excited to mentor the young guys essentially. Says he really likes helping the young guys out and having conversations about how they can get better. Might just be lip service, but you can't dislike those comments.
  9. i hear elrockin likes the addition as well
  10. I like your posts a lot Ray Ray. You provide great insight. But for whatever reason you seem to like making things personal with the guys who have some connections (y2jimmy and rabbit). Then when you get called out on it, you just say you were joking and they can't take the jokes.
  11. Hendriks would be awesome. The As used the crap out of him last postseason. He had the 50 pitch performance against us then a 3 inning save against the Astros. Dude can throw multiple innings.
  12. Lmao really? I gotta look this up
  13. Joc was bad in 2020 tho
  14. It's even worse than you thought with the potential Joc signing!
  15. Only one of those still applies. he hasn't been good in years.
  16. Seriously. Eaton's numbers have been pedestrian the past 3 seasons. He is also 32 years old and a dbag. Joc seems like the clear logical choice here. I can see a Joc-Engel platoon easily putting up 4 WAR in right field.
  17. Lock him up! Lock him up!
  18. Excellent post. You clearly did your research. You make some great points, and I agree with most of them.
  19. If he had a Reynaldo Lopez-esque season, it's possible
  20. The more I think about this, the more I like it. Lance Lynn has been a top 5 pitcher in the entire MLB the past 2 seasons. He is a bona fide #1 starter. This is a HUGE addition to the team. Our starting rotation is playoff caliber now. Very strong 1-3 pitchers. The Cubs traded Gleyber Torres for half a season of Chapman. THAT is an overpay. They would do the trade again if they could, too. Furthermore, it's possible the Sox could lock him up another year or two. He's old and he may want to take the guaranteed money.
  21. At age 34, I wonder if Lynn would take a 1-2 year extension now or if he would gamble on another great year.
  22. Has anybody even posted highlights yet? His fastball is his bread and butter, clearly. Still throwing 96 mph. Hopefully he can keep it that high at 34 years old. He's also obese.
  23. This has the Fernando Tatis Jr trade written all over it. Dunning becomes Bieber, Lynn flops.
  24. How would you all feel if they followed this up by signing Joc and Hendriks?
