Not a huge fan of "The Cuban Ohtani" designation. I know he can throw 95 mph, but I haven't seen much indication that he will pitch outside of that. I hope we sign him regardless. You have to think the White Sox are frontrunners for whichever Cuban prospects they decide to go for.

Stone, Frank, Ozzie and Chuck have all ripped Ricky fairly publicly. That wouldn't be happening if Ricky was staying for the foreseeable future like some here think. He's definitely on the hot seat after the boneheaded decisions this year. Rick Hahn isn't blind. This rebuild will be his legacy. He won't let that ship sink with Ricky freaking Renteria continuing to manage is things aren't going well.

In Blackmon's 2019 season (using the last full season), he had a 1.174 OPS in Coors Field and a .731 OPS away from Coors. Given his age, contract and below average defense that will only get worse, no thanks to him as well.

Spiegel said he would be surprised if Ricky was let go after this largely successful season in a strange year. He asked Stone what his opinion was and if he had any inside info into the situation. Stone basically said he has no idea whether the sox will retain Ricky or will go a different direction.

This. I'm scarred and jaded from the White Sox luck with signing old players. I'd rather they put a trade together for a RFer this off-season or midseason. Center it around one of Stiever/Cease/Dunning. Hopefully sign Colas or Cespedes to take over in the future.
