  1. The bullpen is going to get worked this year. They have been awesome so far. Hopefully they can keep it up. I like Heuer as the future "closer". Bummer is filthy and should stay as the #1 reliever/high leverage reliever on the team.
  2. Anybody watching Ozzie on the pregame show? This man needs to be the manager of the team.
  3. James has been simply awesome so far. He will get a nice paycheck after this year.
  4. @ptatc what's the diagnosis look like?!
  5. I don't believe him either, but i am completely ok with doing that... He's a pitcher for god's sake. His arm can get ruined at any moment. I'd be ecstatic if the Sox got him on a 1 year deal. No long term risk there. We have plenty of pitching prospects that have had injury troubles. It would give us another year to evaluate our staff and the progress of Kopech, Dunning, etc. Throw 25-30m~ at Bauer and call it a day.
  6. PC Police coming in hot!
  7. Well, he definitely passes the grind test. Hope he is ok.
  8. Aaron is the guy you throw out in high pressure situations, like Hader. That arm is too good to be relegated to the old fashion 9th inning closer. I think Heuer takes the closer spot as some point.
  9. I honestly thought the same thing. Having a high OBP, left handed bat in the lineup could be a beautiful thing
  10. Great, now they're saying they hope he is OK...
  11. Scares me seeing Moncada extend like that to the base. He has hammy issues.
  12. I rag on Jose for it a lot, but it's pretty crazy how normalized chewing tobacco is in baseball. Imagine if these guys were constantly smoking cigarettes during games.
  13. It's one of those old man injuries where something just breaks down during a physical activity.
  14. Good god... Can't catch a break.
  15. Is this a prediction from you, or did you read that this is the report?
  16. Has Giolito been strictly throwing fastballs and changeups this year? I recall him using a slider last year too.
  17. Maybe he is just a complete wimp and has zero pain tolerance. I hope that's the case.
  18. I hate to add insult to injury, but what a stupid play. @caulfield12 was just clamoring about how he is the second coming of Einstein and his massive brain + baseball IQ will be an unbelievable asset to the team.
  19. Wow, that doesn't look good...
  20. I made a thread about this in the past. Should probably revive it. Not only do the Sox have the better 3rd baseman in Chicago, they have the better LOOKING one as well. Suck it, Cubs.
  21. The two things Ricky cares about more than having the R/L lineup thing going is placing veterans as high up as possible and giving Nicky Delmonico more chances.
  22. Announcers booth = internet forum Now please hand over my six figure salary, now that I know my duties are as important as Benetti's and Stone's
