Well, since the Nats aren't hiring Bud Black, I'd go after him after RV gets fired.

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 10:14 PM) I'd rather have Saladino at 1/20th of the cost of either. I agree. I want no part of Desmond.

Aaron Lemming has been tweeting that teams are trying to get Willie Young. Giants are the team to watch for.

Buster Olney @Buster_ESPN 2m2 minutes ago Orioles intend to extend a qualifying offer to Matt Wieters, not surprisingly. He'll be a one-of-a-kind item in a limited catching market. Wieters is off limits to me now

Matt Eddy @MattEddyBA 18m18 minutes ago #DBacks sign C Brett Hayes and #WhiteSox sign 2B Steve Lombardozzi, who both elected free agency this month, to minor league deals.

Collins is so pissed lol.

QUOTE (AustinIllini @ Nov 1, 2015 -> 09:49 PM) Agreed. People often confuse football with baseball. The right draft can turn your fortunes around immediately. My biggest concern is the possibility of Vic Fangio being hired somewhere else as a head coach. People must see what he's doing with a severe personnel deficiency. A lot of football experts I've heard are saying that Fangio isn't the type for a HC. I think Fangio is conformable in his current role. It's Gase that you should be worried about.

QUOTE (SCCWS @ Nov 1, 2015 -> 05:59 PM) FWIW---Olney said today that Cespedes prolonged hitting slump since September and his miscues in the outfield is costing him major FA dollars. In terms of FA outfielders, my wish list in order is Heyward, Upton, Gordon, Cespedes.

On that last drive by the Vikings, did anyone else see that the WR that caught the ball over Rolle might of ran out of bounds on his own before catching that?

I love Jay Cutler

Hawks call up Hartman. Don't get the move unless this a trade is on the horizon or this pushes Bickell and Desjardins out of the line up to replace them with Teuvo and Hartman.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 30, 2015 -> 09:59 AM) It probably depends on how some of the younger QB's in the league develop. Derek Carr Teddy Bridgewater Blake Bortles Jameis Winston Marcus Mariota Two or three of these guys need to take the next step. I could see Carr being the best out of this group. QUOTE (scs787 @ Oct 30, 2015 -> 10:26 AM) Is Luck even really elite? Yes. He's been great every year besides this year. Injuries, an incredibly bad OL, and a coach that's going to get fired doesn't mix well.

Marlins get rid of Dan Jennings

QUOTE (LDF @ Oct 29, 2015 -> 09:57 AM) i really like the update. many thanks for your hard work ... now, i don't know, but for me, it appears as this yr group of AFL players the sox sent are not a good group. now i am surprise in a couple of players.... Engel is really coming into his own, esp since June and July.... however being moved to 3b..... i hope he develops more power. Delmonico - i have or starting to loose faith in him. i really had high hopes. Pete - i like to see more of him next yr. he may be somebody to watch. pitching beside Brennan and Leyer, i just don't know. again many thanks to all who assemble this info. He'll be fine. Still has an OPS near 800 so far in the fall even with a low BA. If he can still hit for power, than he'll be fine.

With the claim of Turner, I think that's a decent way to start the off season. Just a matter of health and fix him a little bit. Good risk to take.

QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Oct 29, 2015 -> 11:06 AM) Just throwing it out there, but any interest in Jedd Gyorko if the Padres wanted to get out of his contract cheap? Since they seem to perpetually never have a 1B a Laroche + B level prospect for Gyorko trade make any sense? I'd rather have Sanchez at 2B than take on Gyrko's contract and give up an asset like a B level prospect.

At the All Star break, Jennings had an ERA of 7.83. He lowered that to 3.99 with a FIP of 3.47. He gave up 8 ER in the 2nd half of the season. You definitely keep him.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 09:24 PM) One of my favorite calls ever lol. I love it.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 09:18 PM) Other observations- Near perfect minute distribution by Hoiberg. Crucial in the 2nd game of a back-to-back. Stacey King's new thing is "Moore Moore Moore!" for E'Twaun Moore... can't tell if I like it yet. Snell's confidence must be at an all-time high. This early in the season, managed the minutes perfectly. Loved it. My favorite Stacey King call is Korver's hot sauce or Marco "I like my meatballs spicy" Belinelli lol

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 09:14 PM) Defense isn't all about rebounds and fouls. I watched the game from start to finish and their interior D was good. And everyone knows +/- is a BS stat. Joel Anthony was top-3 in +/- a few years ago. Joel Anthony. Noah and Gibson got burned by lots of lucky shots from Brook Lopez and flukey plays by the Nets guards, who they weren't guarding. I watched the game form start to finish as well. I think we'll just settle on our different opinions. Gibson and Noah didn't impress me at all on either end tonight, but it's early and they have a reputation of being solid. Just wasn't tonight. Same with Brooks, just offensively. I'm fine with it.
-
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 28, 2015 -> 09:07 PM) Noah was a train wreck offensively, and Gibson was poor offensively as well, but I wouldn't say they played poorly overall because their defense was solid. If 7 rebounds, 5 turnovers, and 8 fouls in 36 minutes is solid then ok. If you say, they were bad offensively and "solid" defensively, Brooks was the opposite, so if you wanna say he was bad. Then you have to say all 3 were bad. Edit:Noah and Gibson were a combined -23 when on the court
