QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 29, 2014 -> 09:58 AM) Yesterday marked the 55th game of the season, 54 being 1/3 of the season. I figured today was as good of a day as any to talk about player performances to this point. The A's Chris Sale, Jake Petricka, Zach Putnam, Tyler Flowers, Adrian Nieto, Gordon Beckham, Conor Gillaspie, Alexei Ramirez, Jose Abreu The B's Dayan Viciedo, Adam Eaton, Adam Dunn, Dan Webb, Andre Rienzo, Jose Quintana The C's Scott Carroll, Hector Noesi, Leury Garcia, Marcus Semien The D's Scott Downs, John Danks, The F's Paul Konerko, Alejandro De Aza, The Incompletes (so far grade in parenthesis based on limited sample size) Erik Johnson (F) , Javy Guerra (B), Felipe Paulino (F), Jordan Danks (F), Avi Garcia (B), Moises Sierra ©, Now let's see yours? No complaints here. I might put Danks in the low C category.

Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS 13m More #astros considering rodon and aiken for No. 1 pick. but might they pull a gordon surprise? #MLBdraft http://cbsprt.co/1k7wJOP

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ May 28, 2014 -> 10:03 PM) Not so fast. Sierra is still under the Mendoza line and Noesi still has an ERA around 6. Granted, they were good today, but patience. That's total on the season. Sierra is hitting 297 with the Sox and coming into tonight Noesi's ERA was 5.14

Someone new every night contributing to the team. This is awesome SWEEP!!!

Seth Lakso ‏@SethLakso 4m More Per an industry source, this is consensus #whitesox current draft board... 1- Aiken 2- Rodon 3- Kolek 4 - Nola 5- Jackson

QUOTE (Jake @ May 28, 2014 -> 07:54 PM) Semien could very well be the SS of the future Sanchez you mean?

Barnum and May over 200!! Hawkins 2-4 with a K

Jaye with the CG for the Dash. 4 hits and 5 Ks. He was probably pissed he got sent down lol

QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ May 28, 2014 -> 01:06 PM) 1) This thread is awesome 2) There is no trolling going on, these are deep disagreements which are still unresolved apparently. 3) You already suspended me for 2 whole months. I'm at the back of the line now, so please start at the front. Everyone else should be suspended before I am again, you can't just cut in line/skip turns like that, it's not fair. 4) Gordon Beckham sucks. 5) There is nowhere else to post. There is no Soxtalk but Soxtalk. He doesn't suck so far this season. We either sign him to a team friendly deal, or trade him before July 31st (if we are out of it).

Sanchez with a 3 run bomb. Lol he is on fire.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ May 28, 2014 -> 11:36 AM) Man, Rock. I saw that you were the latest post in the thread and thought that you had some Beckham news. I thought he did too lol

QUOTE (flavum @ May 28, 2014 -> 10:38 AM) Double for Sanchez (.292) Bases loaded walk for Davidson Sanchez has been on an absolute tear lately.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 28, 2014 -> 10:18 AM) It is actually Blough for BHAM, and Jaye for W-S. Axelrod and Lowry are correct. Thank you.

Axelrod for Charlotte Ortiz for the Dash Lowry for Kanny It says Jaye for Barons but he got demoted so who's starting?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 28, 2014 -> 07:59 AM) "Chris, we want you to work on your fastball control and durability for the first part of the season. We'll let you open things up after Memorial Day". Maybe? I sure hope so because that's a very encouraging start.

QUOTE (Dunt @ May 27, 2014 -> 10:02 PM) Hasn't rained in hours in Andersonville Where the hell is Andersonville?

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 27, 2014 -> 10:16 AM) Also, Voight to A+, Basto back to Ext ST. Hardin also got promoted to Birmingham. Why would they send Basto to extended ST? He was hitting well

QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ May 27, 2014 -> 09:45 AM) http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/prospect-wa...angeup-artists/ Some positives/negatives. The report on his changeup alone boosts his prospect status in my mind. I would still say he's not overly exciting to me, but he is at least a prospect worth monitoring. Thanks for the article. I'm a huge fan of Wendelken. He's pitched well, but will probably be a reliever.

Good win. Now let's get to 500 tomorrow

QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ May 26, 2014 -> 04:00 PM) Ben Badler links the Sox to Dominican SS Amado Nunez, calling him their #1 offensive target, with an expected price tag of around $1m. Says he is an offensively minded SS that will likely outgrow the position. Projectable power. Currently he's 16, measuring 6'2", 175. He also reiterates the Huscar Ynoa to Sox rumor. http://www.baseballamerica.com/internation...arias-and-more/ I'd gladly take Nunez and Ynoa.

QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ May 26, 2014 -> 03:12 PM) He's poor on defense and a bad baserunner. He's made 1 bad play.

QUOTE (greg775 @ May 26, 2014 -> 03:11 PM) Did he softly touch him on the slide for the out and then went for the knee? It looked like he might have brushed the jersey initially. That's what I was thinking too. It kind of looked like it, but couldn't really tell.

QUOTE (chw42 @ May 26, 2014 -> 03:11 PM) He's hitting .297 with the Sox. He was just terrible with the Blue Jays early in the year. Exactly.

Sox get a break!

An absolute hose by Sierra though on that play.
