Teams have interest in Viciedo/De Aza
QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Mar 9, 2014 -> 02:17 PM) Reading some of the rumor reports and what might be Mariner expendables is not very exciting. You trade to improve your team and not just to move someone IMO. Viciedo and/or De Aza are certainly on the block, but they have somewhat of a decent track record so trading one of them for some failed Mariner's prospect makes no sense at all I agree. Viciedo can still be part of the rebuilding process. He's young enough and has enormous potential. Twins are mentioned to be interested in De Aza. From them, I would target Trevor May.

Teams have interest in Viciedo/De Aza
If Hahn does anything involving Viciedo, mine as well go all out and get Seager. Otherwise, I'd still like to see De Aza gone rather than Viciedo.

Teams have interest in Viciedo/De Aza
QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Mar 9, 2014 -> 10:39 AM) This is a tough one because Viciedo with a good year would suddenly have some real serious trade value. The organizational-health move is to give him another shot at this thing. Meanwhile De Aza is more of an all-around player. I think the mental mistakes are something that can be focused on...we saw Rios improve in that department. If we want to pile some wins early this coming year and take our best shot at this thing, then ADA is playing more than Viciedo If we want to try and take a shot at the Grand Prize, and take a chance in hopes of getting something substantial for our troubles..then Viciedo plays. Viciedo definitely plays. It's not even close in my mind. I like De Aza, but he just does not fit on this team anymore.

Teams have interest in Viciedo/De Aza
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 9, 2014 -> 10:17 AM) The Twins have some interest in White Sox outfielder Alejandro De Aza, who is getting interest even though he's not everything a club would want in a center fielder, leadoff type. Last season, De Aza slashed .264/.323/.405 with 17 homers in 675 plate appearances. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/03/cafa..._medium=twitter Give me Buxton

Teams have interest in Viciedo/De Aza
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Mar 6, 2014 -> 07:25 AM) FWIW, Heyman was at Sox camp yesterday Like others have implied, hope its De Aza that gets traded. I would need a pretty good haul for Viciedo or use him as something bigger.

Hahn's next move?
QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Mar 5, 2014 -> 01:27 PM) Maybe trying to light a fire under both, but especially Tank? Tank has done well so far this spring.

Chicago White Sox Top 20 Prospects for 2014
I disagree the grades on Anderson, Beck and Webb. Webb will contribute this year and could be a future closer. Beck could be in the rotation as soon as next year barring injuries and a bad year. And Anderson is too talented in my opinion to not have major success in the majors.

Never mind I found one. At least Eaton had a strong game. Davison got a double and Viciedo went 1-2.

ST OPENER!!
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Mar 1, 2014 -> 09:23 AM) Some no-name pitcher....Latin. Poveda. At first I thought we brought back Aaron Poreda and it was a misprint. Is there a box score on the game anywhere?

Rosters for the Minors
NorthSide, thank you very much. Great list, I'm going to copy and paste on an excel document as we go on. Few comments: You really think Mitchell is going to start the year in AA? At 25, and a strong fall, I would think he would start in AAA. I would not have Leury Garcia on the bench in AAA. Have him get everyday reps in CF ahead of Tekotte, and then give him time in the infield when one of Davidson, Sanchez, and Semein need rest. That Birmingham starting rotation has me all sorts of giddy. Winston Salem is going to be fun to watch with all the development of the offensive players and pitchers like Olacio, Ortiz and Montas. I believe Danish will start in Kanny, but expect him to finish at Winston Salem.

Sox Eyeing Yankees' Catchers?
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 26, 2014 -> 01:45 PM) Um, no it wasn't, the rationale was that he was 1 year away from free agency and was hurt all the ****ing time so there was virtually no chance the Sox would even think about extending him. Considering that he has played 1/2 a season each year with the Padres and is being very well paid to do so, I'd still say that was the right move. Plus, wasn't Viciedo coming up around that time? If so, It was his time to be given a shot.
