  1. Chris Cotillo just tweeted that the Giant are looking to add a left fielder very soon. Tonight maybe. De Aza?
  2. QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 05:58 PM) I'll just go ahead and post my spitball trade here, instead of the winter meetings thread, since this isn't a rumor, just an idea..... Jays-Sox-Mariners. Sox get 3B Brett Lawrie and SS Chris Taylor Mariners get CF Colby Rasmus and P Scott Snodgress Jays get 2B Gordon Beckham, RP Nate Jones, IF Carlos Sanchez, C Jesus Montero, and P Edwin Diaz For those who don't know who Chris Taylor is...he was a 5th RD pick by the Mariners in 2012, and was just named their minor leaguer of the year for 2013. He was drafted as a glove-first SS with great speed, but since then he has dramatically improved his offensive capabilities. In 2013 across A+ and AA ball, he hit .314/.409/.455. He stole 38 bases in 43 attempts. He hit 11 triples and 8 HR, and he walked 84 times to 117 Ks. He is 23 years old and would be a great fit to take over for Alexei, especially if we trade Alexei next offseason. I would love this. Looks like even value too.
  3. Corey Hart and Logan Morrison both to the Mariners
  4. Here's an idea. If Corey Hart signs with Seattle, how would you feel about us going after Montero and Seager as a package? Viciedo or De Aza plus?
  5. QUOTE (dayan024 @ Dec 11, 2013 -> 09:40 AM) Chuck Garfien ‏@ChuckGarfien 55m Are White Sox done dealing at Winter Meetings? Rick Hahn: "You never know. How about that? It’s not a no." Good. Get a third basemen or catcher
  6. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 10:16 PM) People seem to forget that in his one almost completely healthy year, Viciedo went 25/78. Even 2013 wasn't bad, 14/56 I believe, and he missed significant time. Sure, his defense sucks, but we didn't sign him for his defense. I agree. I was gonna say the same thing. He is still only 24. Some players take time. With better hitters around him now, he can definitely put up monster numbers. In no way the Sox and us as fans should be giving up on Viciedo.
  7. QUOTE (raBBit @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 08:51 PM) One beat writer says 'team wants to get a catcher at WM.' One inside source says 'team wants to leave WM with a third baseman.' Just get both!!
  8. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 05:46 PM) Highly doubtful but possible for a game-changing deal. Do they prefer what side the third baseman hits? Cost controlled third baseman that come to mind are Brett Lawrie, Nolan Arenado. Can you not give names?
  9. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 05:18 PM) Told Sox still hoping to leave meetings with a significant upgrade at 3B. It's getting real. Lots of names exchanged. That is what I like to hear. But do we trade Quinatana then? Do you know what names have been exchanged?
  10. Well like previously mentioned, he would be a good fit in Baltamore. They have a weak farm system, but I can see us going after pitching in any De Aza trade
  11. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 03:20 PM) Right now on paper we are doing a better job. What do you think we can expect the rest of the week at winter meetings from Hahn?
  12. QUOTE (The Ultimate Champion @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 02:07 PM) WTF where are the 2 PTBNL coming from? Both from Angels. One to each team. They said that they would have to wait after the rule 5 draft
  13. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 01:30 PM) I'm waiting to hear what the finalized deal is...something keeps telling me that there is more. I'm still hoping Kendrick is involved
  14. Deal isn't official right? Not yet?
  15. If we're giving up a good prospect then Kendrick better be coming back in the deal.
  16. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 12:12 PM) That's not bad. That's amazing
  17. Bowie Kendrick is included in the deal according to Chris Cotillo.
  18. QUOTE (dayan024 @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 12:08 PM) Nick Piecoro ‏@nickpiecoro 30s As @SteveGilbertMLB said, Dbacks would get two prospects in this proposed trade. I'm told one from Angels, one from White Sox. That's just dumb
  19. QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 09:19 AM) Asked him and got no reply. What he was saying makes sense and what plenty of us want....no idea why he would delete it Hahn probably told him to delete it because he wants to fly under the radar. DBacks have offered Cahill and Skaggs for Trumbo according to Heyman...
  20. QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 09:03 AM) Deleted it for some reason after I posted that That's rather odd. Wonder why he would do that?
  21. QUOTE (IowaSoxFan @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 08:59 AM) Its Cahill or Skaggs, and sounds like Skaggs is the guy. I wouldn't mind seeing the Sox getting in the middle of the deal and sending Santiago to the Angels and Trumbo to the Dbacks and getting someone like Eaton or Davidson back. That's a great idea actually
  22. QUOTE (Baron @ Dec 10, 2013 -> 08:39 AM) Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS 2m hear #chisox are getting lots of hits on santiago https://twitter.com/JonHeymanCBS When do he tweet that because I don't see that on his twitter page?
  23. According to Chris Cotillo. Anybody know anything about this kid?
  24. Fake account?
  25. Anyone getting the assumption that if Sox do somehow deal Danks that Hahn will go hard after Tanaka?
