  1. Kanny postponed tonight.
  2. Jon Heyman ‏@JonHeymanCBS 4m #chisox sign tommy hanson to minor league deal I like it.
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 7, 2014 -> 01:11 PM) Beckham not in the game 1 lineup. Take your time. Beckham is going to get traded if Semien keeps doing his job in the 2 hole.
  4. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 7, 2014 -> 09:07 AM) Win today's game. Everyday. I'm guessing with the no-DH, they'll give Abreu a day off sometime. No biggie if he sits once every 10 games or so. Very true. Let's sweep!
  5. No line ups posted yet. This series could produce a lot of runs. Let's take 2 out 3. Go Sox!
  6. No line ups yet, hopefully Chris pitches well and avoid the sweep.
  7. http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?c...mp;ymd=20140406 Axelrod for AAA McCully for AA Ortiz for A+ Bierman for A
  8. Hawkins swing looks better. Anderson can flat out fly.
  9. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Apr 4, 2014 -> 08:52 PM) Kendall Rogers ‏@KendallRogersPG 2h #ECU RHP Jeff Hoffman as advertised in the first. Moved around 94-96 FB, flashed a plus 77-80 CB, 86-87 CH just OK. #mlbdraft @ECUBaseball Expand Kendall Rogers ‏@KendallRogersPG 1h #ECU RHP Jeff Hoffman touched 97 in the second, doing a terrific job of keeping FB low in the zone. That CB has a lot depth too. #mlbdraft Expand Kendall Rogers ‏@KendallRogersPG 1h Really impressed with Jeff Hoffman's ability to change speeds/feel. One beautiful AB last frame: 97 FB, 82 CB, 82 CB (both plus). #mlbdraft Expand Kendall Rogers ‏@KendallRogersPG 1h After his changeup was just okay in the first inning, Jeff Hoffman's CH has gotten much better since. Still showcasing 95-97 velo, too. Expand Kendall Rogers ‏@KendallRogersPG 22m #ECU RHP Jeff Hoffman just sick in 6th. ++ CB, CB, then upper 80s CH for a K. He motions the #Rice hitter to "get off the field". #mlbdraft Expand Kendall Rogers ‏@KendallRogersPG 22m The book on Jeff Hoffman was that if he can get into a groove, he's almost unhittable. He did that early in this one, has looked tremendous. Expand Good.
  10. Danny Hayes with 4 walks tonight for Kanny.
  11. Micah with another triple and RBI. Walker 1-1 with a run. Jaye 3 ip, 1 h, 0 BB, 5 Ks.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 4, 2014 -> 07:23 PM) Anderson double, Hawkins homer! Atta boy Hawkins
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 4, 2014 -> 04:58 PM) Talk about leaving a pitcher in for way too long. Oh well, just a terrible start by Johnson today. With his next start in Colorado, he better be a lot sharper. Our bullpen is probably gassed already...
  14. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Apr 4, 2014 -> 04:37 PM) Minnesota has two of them. Call 'em up, we can give them De Aza. I hope this is sarcasm
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 4, 2014 -> 04:30 PM) Sox need a legitimate long reliever in the pen. When you're going to lose anyway, you need one guy that's going to take one for the team, so you have a fresh pen the next day. Dyland Axelrod
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 4, 2014 -> 01:16 PM) About 2/3 of the games he's played in the minors he started at SS. I was thinking this earlier today too. I would love an infield of Abreu, Micah Johnson, Semien and Davidson.
  17. What games have you guys chosen? I'm gonna do the Sunday Rays game.
  18. QUOTE (BFirebird @ Apr 4, 2014 -> 12:56 PM) Like wite said..I don't expect them to be prolific all year, but I do like the 3rd in OBP. If they can even get to the middle of the pack on that this year they would give themselves so many more opportunities to score runs. The problem last year is no one was ever on base. I think with the additions of Eaton and Abreu and Semien to an extent, they should be at least seeing more pitches and driving the starters out of games earlier than last year and get to the bullpens.
