  1. My perfect wedding would take place at the United Center during a Blackhawks game. Tuomo Ruutu could be my ring bearrer by taping the rings to a puck and shooting it down the ice to Tbo, who's waiting at the goalmouth for them. Tbo would be the presider of the wedding. Instead of a wedding dress, I'd wear a white Blackhawks sweater and my groom would wear the third Blackhawks sweater (the black one). At the reception, the first dance where only the groom and bride dance would be done to the tune of "Here come the Hawks." Our wedding cake would be in the shape of the Stanley Cup. Oh, how great a wedding this would be.
  2. Horribly officiated game, almost FIVE Duke guys fouled out. Dickie V has got to learn to CAN IT!
  3. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 11:49 AM) FWIW, if Hermanson was on this team last year, I bet you he definitely would've plunked Hunter. I dunno how good Hermanson is, but everything I've heard about his attitude is thumbs up. Perhaps Hermanson/Pierzynski will be an awesome combo for us this year. Both played for the Giants last year and probably know each other's tendencies. It will be interesting to see what the two of them add to this club this year.
  4. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 12:34 PM) Zero. Heads, Are you still going no that minor league road trip this year with Jas, Mario, and Murcie?
  5. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 08:41 AM) So far I am looking at about half a dozen, plus a couple of road games. Looks like we are going to get out to Baltimore this year in July. Very cool, ss2k5!!! I'm going to Boston this summer when we play at Fenway in August. I can't wait!
  6. Because I now live just a mile away from Comiskey, meaning that I don't have to worry about paying for parking, and because I'm making very good money in my career now, I'm gonna make a point to go to at least 20 games this year. In fact, we're gonna see about getting a Bogan block at a few of those...It's so awesome to teach at a school where literally 97% of the faculty/staff are Sox fans.

QUOTE(SuperSteve @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 02:38 AM) Damn math!!! :finger Math is the solution to every problem.
  8. QUOTE(SuperSteve @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 02:37 AM) Dunno, everyone has kinda stopped. Jas posts less, I know I do, I don't see many of anyone who were around but SS, DB, Fanof14, and some others. Steff is only here during the day, and some people have changed their names to make them hard to tell who they are. How much easier a year and a half ago was. A year and a half ago??? Like when we could x-lob SuperSteve ???

QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 02:32 AM) infinity plus one. It is mathematically impossible to extend further than infinity.
  10. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 02:30 AM) Same here Steve. Along with HotSosChick, Steff, RPS, and a short list of others. What ever happened to people like BJ Marte and some of the older posters? I think BJ got overzealous by sending HSC naked photos of himself that he didn't have any time for Soxtalk!
  11. QUOTE(GASHWOUND @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 02:10 AM) Well, some people actually have lives... But when i think of soxtalk there are certain posters that come to mind automatically and Heather is one of them...it feels normal when she's around Ohhh, Gashie, what kind words those are!!! Baseball's coming back soon, so I'm back to my original posting here. You need not worry.
  12. QUOTE(GASHWOUND @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 01:48 AM) Uh, You..duh That'll actually be YOU...GASHIE!!!
  13. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 01:40 AM) He changed his name to Be Good, he's been busy I think, starting his plumbers apprentice or something like that. Popped in a few weeks ago, but we don't see him around much nowadays. So who's gonna tell us to "BE GOOD sons and co." this year???
  14. Ok, so I've been gone from here for a while and haven't seemed to see him on here...Has he changed his name, or is he giving up Soxtalk for Lent much like last year?
  15. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 01:06 AM) Call up Jenks just to drill him then Or we could just hire Robert Fick to club him with a bat, and then he can leave town again...
  16. Torii's nothing short of a PUD, and I hope Buehrle drills him in the noggin April 8th!!!
  17. QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 01:05 AM) Wow Heather, I had no clue you liked that type of music. How is teaching going? I hope you are doing well. Oh yea! My first two pre-set buttons in my car are set to 94.7 The Zone and Q101. I listen to the Zone's morning show while driving to work every morning. They actually play MUSIC, which is much more than we can say about nearly every other radio station out there that's worth listening to. Bogan's been treating me rather well this year. I couldn't ask for much better.
  18. In the early stages of last season, nobody was able to figure out Shingo. But, as the season progressed and players were seeing him the second, third, and fourth times around, it didn't seem Shingo had the same "command" that he had in the first half of the season. No knock on Shingo's season last year; he had a great year. But he clearly had a better opening than closing half, which leads to my question. Now that hitters have had an entire season of facing him, will he decline in effectiveness, or will he still baffle hitters?
  19. QUOTE(YASNY @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 12:51 AM) I'll say this much about Oakland's staff. It certainly has the potential to better than ours. In fact, it can easily be much better. But again, that's potential. Don't forget they lost Mulder to the Cards, which immediately drops the overall quality of their rotation. I know Zito's damn good, and Harden's pretty solid. But, outside of those two, there's no starter there that scares me when thinking of our hitters. I wouldn't be surprised if we actually win the season series from Oakland this year.
  20. QUOTE(KevHead0881 @ Feb 10, 2005 -> 09:15 PM) Anybody notice the bar over the fundementals thingy in the rendering pictures? It's connected to the upper deck. I didn't even notice it until I saw the blown up photos at Sox Fest. Will that thing even be ready by the start of the season? I drove by Comiskey just this afternoon after work, and, from the left field gate, I couldn't see any extra bars "sticking up" leaving me to wonder what has actually been accomplished at this moment.
  21. Predict away...May the good ones come true.
  22. QUOTE(Spod=Ratings @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 12:17 AM) And Velvet revolver "Slither" has to be one of the best songs from last year!

  24. QUOTE(whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 12:46 AM) Right click on the picture. Go to properties and copy the URL. Then go to my controls and edit signature. Use the IMG tag and paste in the URL. I don't get that when I right click on it. I just get "copy" and "save picture as." Odd...
