Similar thing happened a few years ago in Milwaukee, when the day after Bob Wickman was traded to Cleveland, it was "Bob Wickman Poster Day" in Milwaukee. I wonder if enough people are going to be there at the ballpark to take home the bobble head dolls, because I expect a decline in attendance in response to the recent play of this ball club.

I really appreciate your optimism here, amidst what has just unfolded...But if anything is going to happen, our offense MUST step it up, as well as our relief pitching. Both have been doing poorly this past week (it looked like Marte was going to give yesterday's game away).

I met Chris Zorich at the Comiskey Park Stadium Club Restaurant. He dropped eating just to take a picture with me. What a nice guy. I ate dinner with the ISU baseball team plenty of times, and Neal Cotts was there from time to time. That's all for now...

Though he isn't a #1 or #2 blueliner on a contending team, McCarthy definitely should be on THIS squad. There is no reasy for Sutter's shinanigans last season, as he was the hardest working blueliner we had. Thankfully he's resigned. And Anderson is an up-and-coming net minder who should be Tbo's backup, meaning Leighton spends time down in Norfolk. Anderson displayed flashes of brilliance, especially in that game in Toronto, this past season, and I only see even more imporvement on his part.

I will still watch the games that I can and follow the others, but I'm all but mailing it in for the season... And this comes from one of the biggest optimists in the world... I'm at loss of words... Go get me a gallon-sized container of ice cream, because I feel like binge eating tonight!!!

My uncle actually just recovered from the same thing...He's just got out of the hospital, so there's proof that people survive from these things...Hope he gets better and has the same type of success as did my uncle!
