  1. DUH!!!! The driver shouldn't be WATCHING DVDs!!! He or she should be focusing on the traffic instead!!! The driver should be charged with the worst punishment for homicide if anyone dies, and charged for wreckless driving or something else if nobody dies.
  2. Comcast's gonna have the Chicago Sports channel after this Sox season is over, so, unless you wanna buy all of the sports packages, you gotta have Comcast in order to watch. Just fyi.
  3. You certainly can't have Willie out there leading off though. He's too inconsistent, and it looks like he's sometimes bewildered out there. I don't mean to sound like Jeckle here, but Rowand's a better option.
  4. Just remember that KW's pretty silent when it comes to trades, so we will never know what's going on. He can go all out and get Randy Johnson, or he could get nobody else. All we can do is sit back and hang on for the ride. I'm somehow wondering if Hawk's said "mind boggling trade" will happen a year late.
  5. Karpovtsev's gone though, so there's a ton of ice time given to the others now!
  6. He was hurt for a while last season, which is why you didn't see him at all down the stretch. I don't think it's that they didn't like him; but, instead, it's that Sutter seemed to have a major crush on Alexander Karpovtsev, henceforth, the 28+ minutes of ice time he'd routienly give Karpovtsev every game, which limited the amount of ice time that could have been given to Stevie Mac.
  7. That's one of the reasons Rowand needs to be there AT THE TOP OF THE LINEUP every day, missing just a spot start or two every now and then. Our OF should consist of Lee/Rowand/Perez most of the time.
  8. Wow!!! So far there's you, POTUSChris, and myself in Section 101 tonight!!! Soxtalk.com will be greatly represented in that section. For those who will be there or are watching it on TV, I'm bringing two signs to the game. They are back to back on the same piece of poster board. They read: "ISU Loves Neal Cotts" and "Ken & Jerry's Freddy Garcia" (instead of Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia)
  9. We're in Row 24!!!!
  10. As if the Trib's needed for Cub fan stupidity to be known!!!
  11. He was at least decent, which is something that's not been seen much in this organIzation in the past few years (Karpovtsev, Dempsey, etc...). On good teams, he's a 4th-6th defenseman, imho. But, I bet he'll be in at the 2 or 3 (McCarthy is our best blueliner, imho). That is not much money tied up to him either, which is good as well.
  12. No kidding...I'm going to be in that same section too!!! What row?
  13. Notice you said the park was half EMPTY instead of half FULL!!! Pessimist!!!
  14. That would be Mike North.
  15. You're such a pessimist!!!
  16. Dentist appointment?
  17. Sometimes good pitchers get rocked. See: Mariano Rivera at Fenway this past Saturday.
  18. Let's all remember that offensive games like last night are natural for teams to have every now and then. What distinguishes good teams from bad teams is minimizing a streak of such games, which this ball club seems to do. I don't think we're going to have the same offensive problems as we did last night tonight. I honestly see a pretty good offensive display out there tonight.
  19. Well, Steff...It looks like there's absolutely NO rain in sight tonight, so your luck won't be bad weatherwise.
  20. Your record can't be as bad as IlliniKrush's!
  21. Wait, wait, wait!!! I thought Seattle's paying for the rest of Garcia's salary for this year, no?
  22. Haven't seen SHINGO TIME yet, so that's why I'm so eager to see it!!!
  23. Kap used to have over 100K posts here, so therein lies solid evidence...Can we say Soxtalk Fraud?
  24. Me neither! Heck, the only sell out I've ever been to for any sporting event was an ISU vs. Bradley men's basketball game back in 2000 when I was a freshman at ISU! The "War on 74" is huge downstate, actually! This is gonna be unreal!!! I can't wait to get there and hear the introductions, as well as hopefully see SHINGO TIME!!!
