  1. It's absolutely hillarious that they are too dumb to even admit that the Sox own them in every way possible!
  2. No, I bet your hair looked more like Danny Tanner's!
  3. You should've turned on AM 1000 to listen to Rooney and Farmer!!!
  4. THE WOMAN WAS ASKING FOR MORE MONEY THAN HE WAS WILLING TO PART WITH!!!!! I have nothing wrong with allowing individuals of that state to donate, but DO NOT ask for more than they are willing to give!!!! THAT is wrong!
  5. With all of this talk about 80s songs, how did all of you wear your hair in the 80s? My hair looked very much like DJ's on "Full House."
  6. IlliniKrush took the words out of my mouth, but just said it a little better than I would.
  7. Don't you just love how many of these technical support companies advertize great customer service, yet there are so many complaints about customer service from them!!!
  8. I just noticed that Kapkomet has 101,588 posts according to his "stats." I THINK someone is being Jerry Manual here and is TINKERING with post count!!! ss2k4 wouldn't be doing THAT, now, would he???
  9. I do the "ctrl+alt+delete" thing to see if any programs that are currently running are not responding and end them before doing anything else. If that does nothing, I reboot.
  10. But he said that she asked for more money than he was originally going to give her!!! To do that to especially someone of his state is completely wrong!!!
  11. Bolingbrook had the storm pretty badly as well!!! When I was drying my hair, I heard thunder BEFORE I saw lightning...THAT scared me! I had to get over to my summer job at Linens 'n' Things on the west end of Bolingbrook, and it took me 25 minutes to travel the 3.5 miles there!!! UNREAL!!! Almost all of the traffic lights were completely off, and one of them apparently blew completely down. When driving to work, I saw some repair guys putting it back up again, as well as police directing traffic in some of the more major intersections. Every store and restaurant on the west end of Bolingbrook had lost power! When I got to work, apparently they had been out of power for a couple hours already! And we didn't regain power in time, so, after waiting for just about an hour and fifteen minutes to see if power would return, all we had to do was straighten things up in our departments and leave. We were there for just around two hours and still are going to be paid for a full shift! No complaints are coming from me on that though!!!
  12. That's downright WRONG! I woulda slapped her for doing that. You don't take from ANYONE, especially the homeless! Politicians already have enough money!!!
  13. I forgot to metion "Hip to be Square" done by Huey Lewis (that song constantly pops into my head). Someone mentioned the Scorps..."Rock you like a Hurricane" has always been a song I enjoy listening to. But something that I guess I'm partially embarrased about is that, during the 80s and very early 90s, my favorite song artist was Phil Collins. I couldn't get enough of the song "Everyday."
  14. Perhaps Moises Alou would make use of this new form of technology!
  15. If you're gonna mention Billy Idol songs, can't forget "Eyes Without a Face." I still get a kick out of listening to it!
  16. "Always" - Atlantic Star "Heaven" - Warrant (one-hit wonder) "Self Control" - Laura Branigan "Tainted Love" - Soft Cell
  17. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I needed that tonight!!! That's priceless!!!! I'm going over to Blackhawkzone.com now to post this for all the Cubs fans there. I'm sure they'll get a kick out of it!
  18. Do you guys get so much credit card junk mail in your US mailbox that it gets to be a great annoynance? I have for the longest time now, and it's just got to stop!!! So, I hereby aim to start a cause to seek revenge against the credit card companies and ask if you all would join!!! I've been doing this for a long time now, but everyone here should try to make a statement. There are plenty of things you can do to make your point. You can include these things (not limited to) in the little envelope that has free postage if mailed in the United States that all credit card companies send with the application. Note I've done all of these: 1. Send nothing but a recipe of your mom's meatloaf in the envelope and send it. 2. Fill out just the name portion of the application and rip it up, placing it in the envelope and send it. 3. Put CONFETTI in the envelope and send it. 4. Place a picture of Richard Simmons into the envelope and send it. 5. Place pencil shavings in the envelope and send it. I seriously can't take all this junk mail from credit card companies anymore! I bet they'll be following me when I move to my own place in a few months. Has anyone tried anything of their own to seek revenge on the evil credit card companies?
  19. I listen to basically anything that's not classical or country. Favorite all time song: "More than a feeling" - Boston Favorite current song: "I am the Highway" - Audioslave And Goldmember mentioned V-Shaped Mind!!! Wow!!! There are seriously only a few people who have heard of that band. A great band from Decatur, they have played on the ISU campus in local band shows. "Monsters under the bed, under the bed...bashing your head...somebody tell me...please tell me who's got my back."
  20. I really don't think we have a glaring enough problem at the Hot Corner to consider it a major need for upgrading. We could really use another stud pitcher and someone to help Sandy out at the catching position, because I seriously don't want to see Burke and Davis get the combined playing time that Olivo got when he was here. Crede has shown some great play defensively and can hit as well. He just needs to spend more time in the batting cages and practicing the fundamentals of fielding (like how to catch a sky-high pop up hit just to the left of 3rd baseline in Oakland on a sunny day). He will be ok though.
  21. Chances of that happening are very slim if we can really string something huge together here. Everyone wants to be on a winning ballclub with superb chemistry. If the Sox can get some major winning in here (they've already got the chemistry down cold), he won't ever want to leave! Anyways, that was a good read. It's great that guys like Konerko are getting major accolades. Konerko deserves it! Perhaps Joe Torre should read the top of this article!!!
  22. I don't think that's going to happen. This is going to be the last time Minnesota's in first place. Once we get back into sole possession of first place again, we won't be relinquishing it anymore. That's the type of run I think this team is going to be getting on now that they are playing competition who is much weaker ON PAPER. The trick here now is to transfer what's on paper to the "win" column and distance ourselves from the rest of the division before the home stretch of the season.
  23. I hope Mark Buehrle sends a very kind email to the All Star selection committee with a tape of this game attached. Buehrle is definitely our ace and is going to lead us to great things this October. How many times in MLB history has a pitcher faced the minimum 27 batter?
  24. Once Minnesota heads into August, I really don't think we need to worry about them. They've got a ton of games against the West, while we get a glut of games against KC and Detroit. I really think this past weekend really hurt Minnesota, as they couldn't even capitalize on our 3-1 series loss in Oakland! The hardest part of the schedule is over. I'd say the toughest part facing us now are the two series against Boston in August, but I say we split them. I really don't have any intentions to think Detroit or Cleveland will make much noise in this division either, so I think there will be absolutely nothing obstructing the south siders from nabbing a "free pass" to the playoffs. Let's just hope they don't "back in" to the playoffs so they're in rare form and kick some butt when they get there!
  25. I completely agree here! There are plenty of (jealous) Cub fans over at Blackhawkzone who are saying that Kenny has mortgated the entire farm and that our future looks downright horrible now, having NOBODY in the farm. Borchard, Sweeney, and Honel are just three of MANY guys we have on the farm right now who really give a great picture to our future in a couple more years. I like that Kenny is making the RIGHT moves without giving up too much. He is a good GM and should be commended for what he's doing here. No doubt, he won't be fired after this year. As for the playoff hopes, I do think they favor us due to a check of scheduling.
