Let's hope Schoey can give you a nice birthday present tonight!!! Happy birthday, ChiSoxyGirl!!! It seems like just yesterday I turned 22...

Yea, I wouldn't be surprised if Uribe gets another start...But that's nothing to fret, because Uribe's been downright stellar for us and deserves tons of playing time himself. I could see a sweep here if our bats continue being as hot as they were this past weekend with the exception of Saturday...But, it seems as if the offense and pitching come together at the same time, so if Schoey guts it out, we'll be off to a good start. And let's go Tampa as well!!!!!

Shingo has been an awesome signing by KW. Before the season began, I was kinda nervous that he wouldn't understand all of the pitch selection numbers, as well as the team signs, but he's doing one heck of a job!!! He's been as accurate as can be. Go Shingo!

I'll NEVER root for a Philthydelphia team, unless it's the Phillies playing the Cubs. Oh, and I'm a huge fan of Martin St. Louis and Vince Lecavlier!!! Both are great ambassadors of the greatest game on the planet! -
They need to get some REAL shows on TGIF on ABC! How about returning to this lineup for the summer... Full House Family Matters Growing Pains Perfect Strangers All four were awesome shows!!!!! I also loved Family Ties, Boy Meets World, and Step by Step, to name a few more...

So, now we've outscored Minnesota by 13 in the past 2 games...If we can continue this the next couple of games, we could very well put the Twins on a tailspin that they won't be able to recover from! The Twins must be scratching their heads right now not knowing what hit them! They seem so out of it that it appears as if they won't even be able to compete with some of the worst teams in the league. A hot streak for us and a cool streak for them is just what the doctor ordered. The South Side Hitmen are back!!!
-
Is it just me, or does it appear like the Twins are establishing some FEAR of our Sox? Teams usually make errors if they have fear, and they are shooting themselves in the foot dearly in this series because of their errors. They also don't seem to be having the same swagger I've grown accustomed to seeing them have during this series. This is a great thing, and I hope it continues!!! Let's keep on capitalizing on their mistakes and keep on bashing the ball around to the tune of more blowouts and make the Twins even more afraid of us!!!

I gotta give it up to, Kenny

The difference here is Ozzie. Ozzie seems to get the best of the players. KW's moves were made to look bad in the previous years, because JM didn't know how to get the best from his players. Ozzie and KW combined are going to bring a lot of Soxcess to this ballclub over the next several years. To a great partnership in KW and Ozzie! -
Great day for Chicago baseball, as the Cubs lost earlier today as well!!! What a great game to listen to on the radio while filling out employment applications online! Rooney and Farmer sounded like they were enjoying themselves, and rightfully so! With blowouts in their last three games, four for the week, this offense is becoming something that our opposition should FEAR like their worst nightmare! A team usually commits errors when they are scared. Minnesota is looking scared out there now that they are actually playing a team who's at least their equal, and it's showing by all of their errors. I'll take all of those errors, though, especially when the Sox capitalize on them, which they are doing. Let's keep it going, and go Neal Cotts tomorrow!!!
-
Without a doubt, this has to be our key aquisition from this past offseason. Juan Uribe is doing EXACTLY what Ozzie needs him to be doing: decently fielding and carrying a big stick. I was a little nervous about Willie going down, since he's been nothing but a stud for this ballclub this year; however, it's awesome that we have someone in Uribe that can replace Willie and make it appear as if Willie isn't even missing. Very confident at the plate, Uribe is proving me wrong, for one, since I didn't think he was going to have this much impact on the team before the season started. Uribe, you get my props!!! Keep on being the total stud that you are!!! To Uribe!!!

Willie and Maggs Injury Update Thread
BridgeportHeather replied to Wise Master Buehrle's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I hear that! But, at least Uribe can go in for him tomorrow if he can't play, and he's been having a great season as well. I know we lose lots of speed on the basepaths, as well on the defensive side, but Uribe sure can hit, which somewhat offsets the forementioned...I hope nothing serious is up though. -
I just hope none of our outfielders lose the ball in the dome ceiling. I'm *hoping* for nothing short of 3 of 4 here. We've gotta show them who's boss here! No settling for anything less. Loaiza's gotta pitch lights-out to set the tone. Tomorrow and Friday, our starters must give the pen as much rest as possible, because we know Cotts will have a short leash around his neck, as Ozzie has mentioned. This is gonna be a dog fight until the end...I won't accept anything less than 3 of 4.

At least someone like Yawney knows how to coach youth. That's Sputter's greatest weakness. He's great with the veterans, but, if this team is gonna go through a TRUE youth movement, we can't have Sputter at the helm. That's why I wish Yawney was brought up as coach here, or someone else who knows how to coach (Joel Quenneville, perhaps). The young guys will continue to not grow unless someone who can coach them will be there.

Hockey is the greatest thing put on this planet! To Tampa Lightning!!!
-
Cotts is by far the most deserving of this opportunity. He's done nearly a 180-degree turn from last year with regards to composure. He's now got the "I'm gonna get you out!" mentality instead of last year's "Can I get this guy out?" mentality. He's got the mentality, location, and decent velocity, and will allow his pitching to do the talking. Go get em, Neal!!!

Heather from Bolingbrook, IL (and fellow ISU alumnus) What major lessons from your former coach Jeff Stewart at ISU did you learn that have helped you at the professional level? Have you kept in touch with guys like Ed Tolzien, Jared DuFault and Mike Saunches? Where do you see yourself in 15 years?

Well, I'll be a high school math teacher, so I can choose to have my summers off...I'm not planning on it, however, as I'd rather teach summer school and funnel all of that money into an IRA or a high-interest savings account for a cozy savings for retirement...

Ya can sound off about it here: www.blackhawkzone.com AWESOME site to discuss pucks and Hawky!

Hope your day is happy, mooch...Stave off all those Twinkie fans up there for us, if ya would!
-
Well, at least Carlos made a pretty good catch out there today...Too bad our offense has hit a little skid here...There's plenty of time in this season though...And it's games like the last two that really allow a team to learn...A win tomorrow, and we take the season series from Toronto, and winning season serieses is what the Sox should be focused on doing. To tomorrow!

You're into hockey??? That's awesome!!! My favorite sport indeed! Out of curiosity, what NHL team do you back? Anyways, there are plenty of seats left for you over here. Post at your convenience and know that you are among friends in Soxdom.
