I'm for a Bolts/Sharks Stanley Cup Finals, and have been since Boston got eliminated...Lecavlier and St. Louis are unstoppable, and Khabby is a steel curtain of sorts. It's gonna be hard to beat the Bolts.

Our team has been historically better than their's, and we haven't been given any sort of media frenzy... Perhaps we SHOULD start making losing look lovable, because our media will only look at LOVABLE losers. Moronotti needs to take a jump into the deepest part of the lake...

A good win this is definitely...This team is showing a lot of character and are going to murder Minnesota when they play them! This is only the start to a season we are never going to forget. That type that you tell your grandchildren about. This is a special group of guys who work together as a team, are winning contageously, and are loving being together as well as enjoy playing for Ozzie. Ozzie definitely was that missing piece. He is bringing this together, believing in themselves. I had to leave my car after the 7th inning, with us down 3-2, because I had to go to work. I was kinda down, and then I overheard some guy wearing a Sox cap talk about the game. I asked him what the score was, and he told me, which brightened up the rest of my shift! Looking forward to watching on Tuesday on WCIU.

So, I thought we should spend a thread talking about our unfortunate encounters with the fans of Chicago's minor league ball club...This idea came off of an encounter I had today at work... I work part-time at a store near the tollway, and part of my department is the craft aisle. So, I'm helping our vendor set things up in the aisle, and a customer asks me if I could help him find some grey buttons. When I asked him what they were for, he replied, "They are for this Cubs jersey I am fixing up, because they are going all the way this year." I chuckled a bit, and he asked me why I was chuckling. To that, I answered that my team would have a better fate than the Cubs. He asked who my team was, and I told him "My beloved Chicago White Sox." He responded, "Chicago has another team?" I immediately responded, "Yea, and they've finished with a better record in 42 of the past 57 seasons." He was so dumbfounded...Didn't even say another thing...LOL!!!

I love these kind of stories... Absolutely NOBODY in my family even was sports-minded, so I picked up on all of it by myself. I saw Frank's picture on the back of the Sun Times in 1990 and thought it looked cool, so I decided to check out a game on TV. I was immediately 'hooked,' because I thought it looked cool!
