  1. Once we get Schoenweis back, that can seriously become reality. When he comes back, assuming no other additions are made to this rotation, our rotation would be: Buehrle Garcia Loaiza Garland Schoenewis We can then send Diaz to the bullpen and Rauch can go back down to the minors to get some good work starting. To me, Diaz can give us more quality innings than Rauch can, and I'd rather have him up here in a pinch than Rauch. Of course, making a deal or two would be nice...Getting Ortiz WITHOUT giving up Maggs would be tops on my list.
  2. (ahem) I am an ADULT, Nukie!!!!! I don't think Bogan would hire a child to teach math!
  3. Oh you guys are SOOOOOOOOO young!!! Be true to 82!!!
  4. Do you guys realize that we're 4-1 at the BAGGIEDOME this year??? If JM were here, that would've easily been 1-4...I LOVE OZZIE!!! Let's go, go go White Sox...Chicago's proud of you!!!!!
  5. That's priceless, MinnesotaSoxFan!!!!! The Sox are gonna give Garcia more than enough run support to beat Minnesota. I seriously have this feeling that our bats are going to break it out against Radke. Garcia will get a quality start as well. Homers by Frank and Jose.
  6. That earthquake rang church bells in Boston!!! This could really do some major damage in the entire state of Illinois, especially since buildings aren't constructed like they are in California to withstand the shocks. Cali, ya gotta remember that this kinda stuff is foreign for us here in Illinois.
  7. According to this article, it's highly likely that Chicago and St. Louis could be facing a MAJOR shake-up in the next 35 years! This is kinda scary to even fathom! http://stlouis.about.com/cs/maps/a/newmadrid.htm A brief 2-sentence exerpt from the article:
  8. I felt the ground shake for a good 15 seconds...Just wow!
  9. Wow, I thought it was my Dad walking upstairs...But, yes, I felt that...THAT was weird!!!! And, it could possibly be from the San Madrid Fault line (I think that's what it's called), which is in St. Louis. WOW!
  10. Funny thing you mention that...There are a TON of Cub fans complaining all over the place about the "overexposure to the worst broadcasters in the history of sports." It must have KILLED all the Cubs fans watching this weekend to hear Hawk and DJ have fun at their team's expense...But it's SO right as well!!! Hawk and DJ have made their mark!!!
  11. SHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Don't mention Ginter's name here...It's bad luck!!!
  12. Sign me up!!! Timo MUST be a near everyday player out there...He's too valuable to this team right now! I think the chemistry that especially he and Willie have going between the two of them is completely awesome! When Maggs comes back, I'd think it would be great to give him some playing time in CF (or maybe move Maggs to CF and have him play RF). He needs to be in there!
  13. Count me in for one of those Ash Grey shirts! That one's $$$!
  14. WOW! What a difference a couple of weeks make! I was ready to give up on Cliff Politte, and now he's totally dealin', especially in the past couple of weeks. He's getting out guys like it's his job or something...(ok, so it IS his job)...But I think we need to really give him his props for coming around and giving us exactly what we need out of the bullpen lately! To Cliff Politte...Keep it up, man!
  15. I am NOT Heather Takatsu, let it be known...
  16. This post has more PAD to it than hockey goaltender gear!!!!!
  17. Oh dear, I've woken up a sleeping giant...

    Me...

Summer's been great now that I finally have a teaching job secured at a high school on the south side of Chicago, where they're all Sox fans. It happens to be the high school where Soxtalk's NUKE_CLEVELAND graduated from! Now I'm spending lots of time researching south side apartments...Thinking of living within walking distance from Comiskey. This has been a very paltry year for me postwise, but Heather Lee will be back in full form once she's fully settled this October in her, hopefully, Bridgeport apartment. And how are things going over there? How about those CSF Titans! I'm rooting for them just for you.

Yea, that is exactly the one...You were supposed to give up the regins of Soxtalk and make him the master over here. I was supposed to be called Heather Takatsu instead of Heather Lee. I think he even said something about Steff mowing his lawn or something...What a post! I think Heads or someone else locked that thread...But it should still be in the archives.

NOTHING can top SOXMAN's big piece of spam a couple of months back though!!!! "From now on SOXMAN will refer to SOXMAN in the third person...blah blah blah"
  21. That's it!!! I'm gonna name my first kid "U" in honor of WCIU. That way, nobody will forget his or her name...They can just yell out "Hey U!"
  22. I personally would like to see Oberweils give it a whirl and see what he can do in the senatorial race with Obama. I agree with a ton of his issues, especially those on the abortion issue and the "No Child Left Behind Act." Just wondering who you guys want (or think) will be in there.
  23. We need Minnesota to lose to the Brewers and the Cardinals to take out the Royals... How about the "Brew Crew" though!!! Major help from that team.
  24. I've recently accepted a teaching position on the south side of Chicago at Bogan Computer Technical High School, which is on the corner of 79th and Pulaski and start next school year. It's a good school, I've already observed over there for two full days, and the kids are all Sox fans there, so I'm getting pretty pumped up about it. Because I will be teaching in the Chicago Public Schools, I must reside within the city limits before the end of this calendar year. After doing some serious thinking, the south side is where I'm highly considering living, since it would be very close in the proximity to work, and it would be awesome to live among the huge congestion of Sox fans! Bridgeport, Archer Heights, and Clearing are the three neighborhoods that I've heard are great from previous advice I have received. There are a ton of 2- and 3-flats that are refurbished in those areas, I've heard from the same source. I know that there are a ton of you who live on the south side or have a ton of information, so if you have any advice, I highly thank you in advance! In addition, what are the best sources for information on apartments in the areas? Also, are there any free papers at south side grocery stores that I may be able to pick up? Thanks again!
  25. Let's hope that CY-Lo appears on the mound tomorrow and mows down that Cub lineup. It would, of course, be nice for our offense to produce as well! How about an all-out lynch-mobbing attack by our pitching AND offense. To winning another series from the Cubs...
