  1. IIRC, Garcia OWNS the Twins!
  2. On the second thought...I hope it's a save situation, because I SO wanna see SHINGO TIME!!!!
  3. Wednesday's game has already sold over 30,000 as well, and that's darn great for an afternoon game during the week! So, every single game this homestand has drawn at least 30,000 (IIRC) with 3 sellouts! How great this is!!!
  4. Are you serious???? Noonish and UD was all that was left??? I'm so glad I got to the box office when it opened this morning!!! I was lucky to get tickets in section 101 for tomorrow night...Yikes!!! I've sat in the UD and LD both plenty of times...And I must say the LD is much more enjoyable for me. There is just not as much that you can do in the UD. Unless you're a season ticket holder, you're stuck up there and can't go to places like the LF shower or the Fan Deck (which, by the way, gives one of the greatest views in the entire stadium). The UD's great still, because you're still at the game. Coming straight from the LD bias.
  5. All I know is it can't be ss2k4...He'd have somewhere near 2,000 posts if that were the case!
  6. Couldn't agree with you more...Hopefully I'll catch a home run ball! Fearless Prediction: Heather Lee will blow Carlos Lee a big kiss when he first takes the field during the game introductions.
  7. Just wondering who else is going to Tuesday night's game to see Garcia beat Santana? I'll be there in section 101, cheering the Sox on to victory.
  8. Uh oh!!! Day game sellout in the middle of the week...Now the Cubs fans will start telling us that WE don't have jobs!!!
  9. Tomorrow should be a sellout as well, as there were only about 6,000 seats left when I went to the ticket office this morning when they opened at 9 a.m.! Chalk up more to our attendance. And they said Sox fans don't care! Ha! Bring a product, and we'll go.
  10. Which is why no deals will be made over there. This is our division to lose...Really!
  11. HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTT DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. BridgeportHeather replied to Goober's topic in SLaM
Are you sure there are no strings attached, like buying a Ford Focus???
  13. I've gone over that bridge twice when attending the Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball tournament in 2002 and never knew that river was THAT wide!!! I wasn't scared at all though. It's kinda cool!
  14. This just shows that we can sell out the place even when the Cubs aren't involved! Eat that, northsiders! And, if you're planning on attending tomorrow's game, you better get your tickets today, or it's going to be very hard to get them tomorrow. When I was at the box office today to get tickets for tomorrow, I asked the guy at the ticket window how the ticket sales were looking, and he said that he offered me one of the last sets of tickets for the lower deck, and that there are only about 6,000 UD seats available. Looks like tomorrow will be a sellout as well!!! And they're expecting about 35,000 for Wednesday's game (already over 30,000 sold), so this series alone could boast an attendance of over 100K!!! That's darn good for a series!
  15. Someone called the postgame show yesterday and called Garland a "woman in a man's body." It seems that every time he allows a couple base runners, he loses composure and allows them to score! When he's dealing, he's dealing and is unhittible. Unfortunately, we've seen more of the previous than the later of late. He should spend extra time with Coop to work on his changeup, and learn to settle down after allowing men on base. As for Crede, I think all he needs is more time in the batting cages. Outside a few errors, he's been pretty good on the field (not quite Ventura-like, but who is?). He CAN tear the cover off the ball, and he CAN play "small ball" as well, but just needs to work more closely with Walker. Both of them have the capability of being world-class players at their positions. They just gotta practice a little more and work on their mentality/approach.
  16. What a bunch of crooks the college bookstore people are!!! It's unreal how expensive some of those books can cost. They charge ya $120 for a USED book and only give ya back $10 at the end of the semester!!! Thankfully I'm done with college and never have to spend another penny on books!!!
  17. Not tonight, but I will be there tomorrow night to see Freddy Garcia put the royal smackdown on Johan Santana.
  18. The whole point behind the game is that it never ends, thus, allowing the bad luck to continue forever.
  19. Cuz he's gotta see it to believe it.
  20. When an earthquake causes California to capsize into the ocean, what will become of Soxtalk???
  21. Major ouchie!!! Hope the driver is ok! I guess that if someone wanted to swim in the water over there, they could just use the truck as a slide.
  22. I don't think Anaheim will get him, as Arizona wants more than Anaheim is willing to part with. Because their farm system looks to be really building up, Anaheim, I guess wants to keep them there for a bright future or something. With his last few outings, I really think Cotts' trade value has taken a serious plunge, so I don't think we're going to be able to go after him...unless Arizona gets too desperate at the deadline.
  23. That's called Ross Gload Syndrome!!!
  24. Fearless prediction: Carlos Lee will have a multi-hit game. The Sox will win this one 5-2, getting to Radke early in this one.
  25. Special thanks to MinnesotaSoxFan.
