  1. It would be more of a scheduling nightmare for the Cubs, I'd think, since it is OUR stadium. They'd have to work the Cubs' schedule around our's...It would only be fair.
  2. I saw those signs while at the box office Monday morning... As for the advertising of the rainout make-up date, they announced it on Whitesox.com right when the decision was made, and it was announced over every single Chicago news station and radio station that I listened to, as well as has been broadcasted over major sites such as ESPN.com, sportsline.com, and Yahoo! sports. In no way has this rescheduled date been kept on the "hush hush."
  3. That would never happen, as both teams in a two-team city are rarely at home at the same time or on the road at the same time. What I do have to say about this is that the Cubs can just go somewhere else if the Crumbling Confines gives up the ghost. I don't want to have fans from the Evil Empire coming over to our house!
  4. What "trophy" are you talking about??? And let's remember who won the All Star Game. We gotta win this game for the sake of our divisional standings...THAT'S what's most important here.
  5. So blunt, yet so true!!! Moronotti bash The Shrine??? It's great we don't have to read about the Sox latest streak when this is in the spotlight! Oh, and if the Cubs were to play at Comiskey, Cub fans would be able to experience a REAL baseball atmosphere. Wrigley's atmosphere is as bland as it gets...SOOO BORING!!! They'd, of course, i'm sure, have to pay the Sox good money to use Comiskey as well, which could help us get money for free agents.
  6. Perhaps when do you see yourself playing in a Sox uniform?
  7. I believe it was either Heads or Jason who started a thread here a few months ago for us to post questions for Neal Cotts to answer. Did anyone actually give him the questions, and if so, where are his responses located? Thanks!
  8. August 30th at 1:05 p.m. on WCIU, eliminating one day off, bridging two pretty sizeable stretches of games for a grand total of 27 games without a rest! After this Monday, the Sox will have only TWO days off left!
  9. Jose could really help us out if he wouldn't swing for the fences all the time. It's home run or bust with this guy, and he can't ge doing that!
  10. I listened to this too on the road, and Dave Wills did a pretty good job of not completely breaking down on the air. To be honest with you, that story made me tear up as well. May he rest in complete peace.
  11. I think it's time for all Soxtalkers to come together in a big group hug. Lord only knows how much I need one right about now. *Hug*
  12. Beastly, I appreciate your enthusiasm...I really do, and I hope you can keep it up, cuz we're gonna need it.
  13. Chicago's ONLY Major League Baseball squad
  14. I heard of an incidence a couple years ago with two pit bulls. It was in a Chicagoland apartment building, and a woman was going from the elevator to her apartment with a bunch of bags of groceries in her arms. Two pit bulls spot her and go right after her, ripping her to shreads as the owner just stood there and watched. There's something completely wrong with anyone or anything going after innocent bystanders. I hate dogs to begin with, but would probably die of panic attack if I ever saw a pit bull.
  15. Not to mention, Daver's a MINNESOTA VIKINGS fan!!!!
  16. Neither! Anything packed in cat gut is downright disgusting!!!
  17. No polls, hi8is??? Right on!!! This season is far from over.
  18. What was said during the entire segment?
  19. Big part of a major deal for the White Sox by fleecing Toronto.
  20. It was actually a two-game lead for us!
