  1. Hey, Jason...Those are some mighty big bicepts that you have, Mr. 87!
  2. I went to school with EJ's cousin, Walter James, who is now back in Immokole, Florida now, according to coach Denver Johnson. Apparently, Walter and EJ are very close, and EJ probably wants to get close to home, so Miami DOES seem like a good fit.
  3. a starting pitcher with commanding pitches
  4. I think the absolute worst thing to do with Neal is for him to start off an inning. He seems to think too far ahead of himself and gets into some huge jams that he can't get himself out of. Bring him in when there are runners on base. He does much better with inherited runners than a clean slate, stunningly.
  5. The type of mentality Ozzie's trying to instill on his ballclub.
  6. BOTCHed up plenty of victories for our ballclub!!!
  7. I wonder what has become of the poster known as TheGhostOfWayneTolleson.
  8. Here's a fun game that could go on forever. I will start off the game by saying a word, sentence, or phrase that is White Sox related. The next poster must pick a word, sentence, or phrase in my post and associate that with something else that's White Sox related. The pattern continues, as you constantly are trying to make an association from the previous poster's response that is White Sox related. Remember, this is the WHITE SOX free association game, so let's keep this White Sox related! I've done this over at Blackhawkzone.com, and it's been a major hit for the 2nd year in a row. Ok, to start off this game: Mark Buehrle
  9. Ya know, I kinda MISS BMR!!!
  10. You can give me the Chicago Blackhawks box score for my birthday: January 4, 1982.
  11. With all of the new people that have come here lately, I thought it would be cool to hear everyone's stories as to how they heard of Soxtalk. In the 1998-2000 seasons, I posted at the White Sox official site (chisox.com), before it became a cookie-cutter site that was run by Major League Baseball in 2001. The site was awesome, and the message boards, run by HOST Amy (I wonder what she's up to right now), were hosted by Ignite. I'd say that the message boards were much classier than the official site's has become since the switching to the cookie-cutter sites. Anyways, I believe it was Mario or RedPinStripes who told me about a new site coming up called Soxnet, so I decided to check it out at its origination. I really enjoyed it, so I began posting at the message board when they originated. Jason and Mario did a fine job with that site, and I can't believe how far this place has come!!!
  12. That's the SPIRIT!!! Detroit's been really scuffling lately; Sunday was just a mirage. The Sox will at least take three of these games. Steff's going to some of the games, so maybe her presence will help out as well! Fearless prediction for Thursday night's game: Jurassic will get an extra base hit. Note: Minnesota does not play tomorrow, so this is a way to gain 1/2 game right back. We could be either 3 or 4 games behind the Twins after the game. 3 sounds SO much better! The Sox must come out gunning!
  13. This was announced at Blackhawkzone.com nearly two weeks ago. The terms for the contract are the following: 1 year, $3.3 million. That's a $200K raise from last year. Hopefully he won't get hurt again this year so that he can be a good teacher for our goaltenders of the future, Michael Leighton, and Craig Anderson.

Nope! I've always used a manual brush as well and have no problem with it. The circling of the bristles just seem like they'll rip the heck out of my gums, and I don't want constant bleeding right after brushing.
  15. Since my fearless prediction for last night's game happened, I'm gonna try to go on a little roll now... Fearless prediction: The Sox will NOT get swept this series!
  16. Geee, ya'd think that there would be less mistakes if they had shorter shifts at hospitals! I've heard of plenty of doctors having 24-36 hour shifts. There's absolutely no reason for that. If doctors would be well-rested, they may be more alert and less error would be caused.
  17. A CUB fan talking about BORING ballparks??? Wrigley has to be up there as one of the most boring stadiums in all professional sports!!!! It's such a dull experience!!!
  18. They showed that commercial on the jumbotron at Comiskey tonight a few times, and I was laughing. Very creative and awesome! Brooks Boyer rules!
  19. Ya know, it's hip to be square!!!! So I will be, cuz I'll be at the game.
  20. Actually, something like 100-110 Sox games will be on Comcast Sports Chicago.
  21. They should keep Mr. Masterson. Berard plays darn well considering his sight limitation. He's got a ton of heart and actually displays some of that on the ice. I'd rather have Berard play than Robidas. But, Robidas HAS shown some flare as well. Berard's just the better option.
  22. Something like that!!!
  23. Not to mention Igor Korolev!!! :puke
  24. What did Dempsey do in his tenure here??? Yea, he looked pretty good out in Anaheim, but did he do anything HERE?? Not in my book!
