This would be very difficult to make happen. You'd have to get all 30 owners to "ok" this before anything would happen, and chances of that happening are slim to none.

QUOTE(Cali @ Mar 5, 2005 -> 10:34 PM) Heather's constant nagging drove him to the MGD and brats I guess... Ohh, c'mon...I never nagged him...Just loved him at all times. Now we're divorced. -
QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Mar 5, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) As far as the Sox go, I hope they stay on MVP because i enjoy how MJK give the Sox extra coverage since they are on the station. Wouldn't they give the Sox extra attention reguardless, since they are Sox fans?

The Bulls hit a bump in the road during the 2nd and most of the 3rd quarters last night, but had a nice little run in the 4th to bring the gap to a much more respectable score. I don't think they're gonna have a problem winning this one tho, as Milwaukee has struggled virtually all season long, and this team has gelled nicely. Even though Deng won't be around, I don't see any problem in Gordon, Kirk, Curry, Chandler, Harrington and co. getting a victory at the Bradley Center and winning again this Monday night at home against the Bucks. Bulls by at least 7 tonight. Go Bulls! Note: 7:30 game time on WGN.

Illini # 1 or bulls Playoffs?

Because I absolutely HATE the Illwhyni, do the math yourself... -
QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 4, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) 7. Only in America......do we use answering machines to screen calls and then have call waiting so we won't miss a call from someone we didn't want to talk to in the first place. That's the beauty of Caller ID. When I get another call at the moment I'm already on the phone, the phone number of the person calling me shows up on my Caller ID screen, and I can decide then if I wanna talk to them or not. If not, they probably leave a message on my voice mail, which I never check.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Mar 5, 2005 -> 02:02 PM) Ummmm.....Heather.....the Sox don't play in the winter......or even into mid-October since 2000..... I know that...But I don't think The Score, who claims to be "Chicago's Sports Station" would want to go on without even hosting one of Chicago's professional sports team's broadcasts on its airwaves.

Go Ichiro!!! (well, only because I have him on my fantasy baseball team). Ichiro and the M's will be much-improved this season. Ichiro certainly has no problems getting on base and he baffles the opposing catcher plenty of times. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the 50-60 steals category this year...if not more! Just hoping they don't come against us...*knock on wood*

Apparently, I've heard that the Score might be dropping the Blackhawks even if a season is good to go for next season. This would leave The Score with an empty professional sport broadcasting schedule, so it wouldn't be a bad idea for the Sox to go over there. Plus, there are a ton of Sox lovers over there, so it would be strategically sound. It would be completely awesome if they were to bring back Julie Swieca to possibly co-hostess the pre- and post-game shows. She knows a lot about the Sox and baseball in general, and listeners do like her.

Bulls vs. Rockets

16-8 Houston so far...Not looking very positive right now. Only positives that I can think of: Yao and T-Mac both have already incurred 2 fouls a piece. Let's see if we can get them both out of the game early... -

Deng update: It's an ankle sprain, which he's icing right now. He will not return to the game tonight. -

Crap, Deng's down!!! Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be the basketball Gods getting back at us for Shaq's injury induced by Othella Harrington. -
QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 07:31 PM) I'd hate us too if I couldn't get in. It truly amazes me how dumb their entry requirements are. I got around a 3.7-3.8 GPA in high school; however, I got a 23 on my ACT, because I took it while a Sox/Cubs game was going on (I couldn't concentrate one bit!), and didn't get in solely due to that ACT score. However, this black guy who was in the same graduating class of mine (NOT an athlete, fyi), gets a 3.0 GPA, 24 ACT, gets in JUST SO THEY CAN MEET SOME RACIAL QUOTA! It's about time for society to get rid of affirmative action, because these african americans of today never experienced theh oppression their parents and grandparents faced.

QUOTE(Goldmember @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 07:26 PM) no love for your own school? They're not gonna be in it...But, I stopped liking the ISU men's basketball program my Junior year there, because they were a bunch of jerks to me, as well as the dining center I managed and fellow employees. They thought their s*** didn't stick. I didn't appreciate them. Go ISU in all else tho (especially baseball, which produced our very own Neal Cotts)!

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 1, 2005 -> 06:58 PM) Gonna be a tough game. Yao gives Curry fits down in the block and Tmac can run amock, although I think Noc will get him a little frustrated. Still, I love watching the Bulls play other good teams because they typically play well against them, although for whatever reason they do better against the top teams in the west then the ones in the east or at least it seems that way. Noc will frustrate anyone...the guy's a madman of good sorts!!! LOL! Has anyone noticed that they have been playing to the level of their competition quite often lately? They'll "gear up" for the big games and then not play as smoothly in games against lesser opponents such as Charlotte...At least they're getting the wins, I guess... -
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Feb 27, 2005 -> 06:41 PM) The reason he is starting on an NBA team is becuase he does the small things that the common fan doesn't notice. He pressures the ball on defense. Makes smart decisions. Leads the offense. Busts his ass. He isn't near the talent of Gordon but Chris is playing a HUGE role on this Bulls team. I totally agree with the above. I'd really love to see Duhon play more with Noccioni. This type of a move could improve both players at the same time. Duhon defends well, but sometimes he seems to "run out of gas," while Noccioni never seems to run out of energy, but sometimes seems to get lost in plays. Having both on the floor at the same time could help "cancel out" each other's deficiencies.

I get ISU alumni email newspapers weekly, and they mentioned something of this nature. Apparently, they will be feeding this to campus dorms, as well as dining centers, for no extra charge; however, the article also stated it won't be available on standard/basic cable. I guess you must have either a dish or digital cable with ESPN U as a selected channel. I guess it would be cool to see some ISU games, since that's hard to do outside of Bloomington/Normal.

I'll be maing the trip up to Miller Park to see a game sometime this summer with my aunt and uncle who live about an hour west of the ballpark. It'll be great to see Carlos continually kill the Cubs. -

I think that if Chandler can contain Yao in the paint, we should be able to ice this one with several minutes left. -
QUOTE(Chisox_10 @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 08:23 PM) who do u guys think will blow us away this year in spring training? I think Kenny Williams will drop Uribe and sign Royce Clayton to a 5-year $100 million contract with an option for a 6th year. He will then blow us away this spring. But really, I think Crede will have a better spring training, as well as season, this year. I guess that's not putting forth much of any expectations on him, as Crede didn't really impress much last season minus one game-ending home run against the Tigers last July at Comiskey.

It's Yao's turn now to come to the United Center to face our refurbished Bulls. The Bulls have been virtually unbeatable at home lately, and I think that will continue tonight, as the Rockets just lost to the Jazz a couple nights ago, and the Jazz aren't very good. The home crowd will get the boyz pumped, and Gordon and Hinrich and the gang will have an outstanding night. Prediction: The Bulls will win though giving up 15+ turnovers.
