FS: Rule 5 Preview - who may leave and who may be added
Who's eligible for the minor league phase?

Sox considering a trade, per Chuck.
Really hope we don't give up another prospect this week I'd eat cash for Price and throw in some fillers
-
Carlos Correa reportedly on the market
Don't see HOU moving him this year OR CWS trading for him ever Weird to see a lot of good teams consider selling (CLE, CHC, etc.)
-
Sox acquire Nomar Mazara for Steele Walker
Don't hate the move, but don't love it I think Mazara is good, yet overrated, talent that's still young and still has upside I didn't wanna lose any prospects this offseason and think Walker is a good prospect, but hard to say he'll ever be better than Mazara Hopefully this works out well and we have our RF until 2022 Adolfo, Rutherford, Basabe, Gonzalez are still waiting

Favorite "Bounce Back"/Savvy Pitcher FA Candidates
4.15 ERA on Lyles, not too appetizing

Favorite "Bounce Back"/Savvy Pitcher FA Candidates
I do think there is a difference in trading a 12 year old for Ivan Nova or adding 2019 Ervin Santana and signing a competent vet for good value in Wade Miley

Favorite "Bounce Back"/Savvy Pitcher FA Candidates
So weird I'm more interested in these guys than MadBum for $100M or Zach Fing Wheeler for $120M...absolutely gross
-
Adam Jones
I know OF isn't really a concern for CWS with Jimenez locked in, Robert hopefully up early, but why the hell doesn't Adam Jones have a market yet again? Can play CF and RF, coming off a 16 HR season with a .260 AVG, good veteran presence to man CF until Robert is up or backup off the bench If CWS didn't have interest in him last year however, I doubt they do this year If CWS tosses him Jon Jay money that may be sufficient If he needs to be saved from Japan I'd be happy to do it

Yup, wanted him and Hamels, but Miley would be nice Lefty coming off a 14 win/3.98 ERA season...eats innings and can be moved to long relief in the fortunate event the rotation gets too crowded 2 years less than $10M should get this done

Baseball America: White Sox Top 10
Love seeing how the system is still loaded...Keep drafting well boys

FA SP: What to do after the Wheeler miss?
Yup, would love Gallen, but Madrigal is gonna be good Hope not

Trade Market for Starting Pitchers...
At this stage of the rebuild (we've yet to come close a winning season), I don't feel comfortable making any trade unless it's swapping a borderline prospect (Jake Peter) for a vet I think a lot of this club's answers have been (Collins, Vaughn, Madrigal, Moncada, Anderson, Eloy, Robert, Kopech, Gio, Cease, Bummer, Fry) and are (RF- Micker, Rutherford, Gonzalez, Walker, Basabe...SP- Dunning, Lambert...RP- Johnson, Burdi) within the system...That's how we stay young, cheap, and competitive long term If this team is competing around the Trade Deadline with the long term vision of this team confirmed, I'd feel more comfortable making a deal But for now we should utilize FA...Roark? Miley?...Keep your assets

Aren't the Sox more likely to be ready in 2021 than 2020?
I don't think it's giving a damn about JR I think it's moreso recognizing that we aren't a NYY or BOS or LAD with an unlimited bank and want to maximize it/Don't want to have any miserable Sandoval/Ellsbury/Crawford types

Tsutsugo - UPDATE: To Rays
Yup Interestingly, there have been some good arms that don't last very long (Matzuzaka, Tanaka, Okajima, Darvish)
-
Aren't the Sox more likely to be ready in 2021 than 2020?
Why not both? Why not try and have a winning season first? This window for CWS couldn't come at a better time in the ALC...this team will only get better and better for the next few years

Scar Tissue - Bobby Jenks
Love Jenks, so crucial in 2005...fun to watch
-
Tsutsugo - UPDATE: To Rays
Why NBP players never pan out? I would assume because the media overhypes guys that play in a league that's slightly tougher than the CanAm League (exaggeration) Outside of Ichiro and Matsui, this league produce bust after bust
-
Sox have checked in on Pineda, but he signs with Twins
Can say the same on Wheeler as well Let's hope we dodge MadBum
-
Tsutsugo - UPDATE: To Rays
Hard pass, dudes from the NPB just about never pan out, there's a reason they didn't come here earlier If that was an option that'd be tremendous, but it ain't
