Joc Pederson: ???
This. Trading expendable pieces or relievers is one thing. Trading legitimate prospects is another.

Joc Pederson: ???
Sure, but ya gotta give to get. They'd be getting the best catcher in baseball for Ruiz, Urias and Pederson, and a stud LH relievers with control. Sox may need to give up a little more in that trade - add Yolmer and give him to whomever wants him between MIA and LAD. Dodgers receive: Realmuto, Fry & Flores/Lambert White Sox receive: Pederson & Urias Marlins receive: Kiebert Ruiz, Rutherford, Yolmer Sanchez and Delmonico

HARD pass on this for the Sox. Assuming Ruiz is Dodgers Keibert Ruiz and not our Ruiz, but still....I am not trading Rutherford for 2 years of Joc.

Hunter Strickland to Mariners on 1 year deal.

Joc Pederson: ???
Sooooo....have to imagine LAD is either in discussions to ship Joc somewhere, or include Verdugo in a deal of Realmuto or Kluber. Cleveland would probably take Verdugo and Joc, their OF situation is pretty sad.

Taylor probably going to play 2B fulltime next season tho, no? Infield from left to right: Turner, Seager, Taylor, Muncy Outfield from left to right: Joc/Kike, Pollock, Bellinger If they want Verdugo in the outfield everyday, likely have to move Joc.

Yah, was just coming here to say that exact thing. Herrera is 3-4 years younger than Brach and has quite a bit more upside, but yah... Brach at $3M is a VERY nice deal. Surprised more teams wouldn't be interested..

Machado signs with Padres 10/300
There is an "offseason moves" thread....
-
Joc Pederson: ???
Yah, that'd probably be more fair. I'd love to hang onto Fry and Frare personally.

Joc Pederson: ???
If Hahn can land Pederson for Bummer and Delmonico ---- that'd be impressive.
- Dodgers Sign AJ Pollock, 4 years $55 million

White sox active in starting pitching market
If we don't sign MM, I'd rather just roll with internal options. Maybe even give Fulmer one final last shot at starting, though I am now mostly convinced he's a RP if anything in the bigs.

White sox active in starting pitching market
Not that I would want him, but Perez is off the board to MN as well now.

Sox offered Grandal multi-year deal (The Athletic)
One thing this does show is that the Sox were willing to lose a draft pick to sign someone other than Harper.

White Sox looking into bullpen arms
Plus Ruiz, Stephens and Banuelos as well.

I did agree, but thought that would have been handled by now. Not sure what they’re waiting for, and they’ve let a good chunk of the market pass them by.

Lol, then how do you explain their lack of activity in an otherwise pretty advantageous market for buying SP?

Least shocking thing ever.

Yah, definitely bizarre.

No doubt, but I doubt he'd leave $4-5M guaranteed on the table.

Joc Pederson: ???
We have any INTL dollars left to spend in this period? Dodgers have been mentioned with this Yolbert Sanchez guy. I'd love to include some of that to offset the prospect cost.
