From this angle it looks like he actually hit the ball out of the stadium. It heads toward the sign in the outfield but I can't see it bouncing back into the field or down on to the berm.

It's not that, it's the message it sends to big name free agents who have already admitted that they don't want to play hard every play. If signing them is already an uphill battle, why make the job even harder when you don't have to?
