Edit: https://www.ultimatemets.com/gamedetail.php?gameno=145&tabno=B "... the game is halted at the end of eight innings because of curfew (no inning shall start after 7 p.m. on Sunday night). When the game was called each team had seven runs, ten hits and one error. This was the final game scheduled between the two teams in Houston which means next week they will attempt to play six games in three days due to earlier postponements." Then, apparently, one of the three doubleheaders was canceled and never made up. Hence 161 games including one tie.

What's the story with regard to the one tie?

9/13- Sox vs Royals, 6:40
Do we actually know this? Perhaps he was claimed but a deal couldn't be worked out and he was pulled back off of waivers.

JR Speaks (gasp!)...
Wait ... the scouts are analytics driven, or the organization that let them go are analytics driven? I hope it's the former, but I fear it's the latter.

Sox place Clevinger on waivers
Next year is a mutual option for $12 million with a $4 million dollar buy out. So he would have to get more than $8 million on the open market. I still think he can do that.

Thief steals car from White Sox star’s girlfriend near Wrigley Field
As a suburbanite, I must admit to being curious about this statement. What do you mean by this?

8/16 Game Thread: White Sox @ Cubs 7:05CT
He threw 13 strikes on 16 pitches last night.

Sox marketing of Vaughn lately
Meanwhile, the rest of the league is 125-50 (0.714) when striking out 14+. Also, 17Ks last night amounts to almost 2/3 of the entire game without any contact. And yet they lose 7-1.

Sounds like something you get at Halloween.- Game Thread Palooza Day 1.....Cease vs Dunning
Dunning threw his 79th pitch with one out in the 7th. Cease through his 79th pitch with two outs in the second. Also, 26 scoreless...- Game Thread Palooza Day 1.....Cease vs Dunning
23 consecutive scoreless ...- Burger To Marlins
You want Mr. Glass stretching to dig balls out of the dirt at 1B? Nope. It's catcher or bust.- Team negotiating with new company for naming rights
"Oreck Field". Insert your own "sucking joke".- White Sox still one of just seven teams to see attendance falls
And the attendance losses will probably only accelerate with the sell-off and ensuing shitshow of baseball in the second half. Assuming they lose 250k total in attendance at $60-70/ person (parking, tickets+ concessions) equals 15-20 million less in revenue for Shoeless Jerry. TV deal or not, that's going to leave a mark.- Sox v Braves @ 6:20 GAME THREAD
Didn't the Braves get swept by the A's? In fact, if I recall correctly, there are exactly three teams that have a losing record in Oakland. The A's, the Braves, and the White Sox.- 7/8: Cards @ Sox: Mikolas v. Toussaint
What's amazing is that his average LA can be this low with a 5.9% IFFB rate. Presumably, each IFFB makes a (very) positive contribution to average LA.- Trading One Year Assets is Inevitable. Maybe even 2-yr
Truth.- 7/6- White Sox vs Blue Jays, Gm 2, 8:00
That's 15 games under 500, which I believe is the low water mark for the season. They better make hay against the Cardinals this weekend because they have a nine-game road trip to Atlanta, New York, and Minnesota. It could get much worse.- Trading One Year Assets is Inevitable. Maybe even 2-yr
That's half of the entire pitching staff. Given what might be expected in return, that's going to make for one brutally bad second half. For a team on pace to lose 93 games already, that has absolutely no pitching depth in the minors, 100+ losses would practically be a lock.- 5/31/2023 - Angels @ Sox (retroactive gamethread)
Well, the schedules are less "balanced" than they are "more balanced". You play 13 against your division rather than 19, but you still only play everyone else in the league 7 times, and everyone else in the other league 3 times (except for your designated rival whom you play 4 times)- 9/25 Tigers @ White Sox - The No Game Thread Yet? Just out of curiosity, how many people believe that he would be the same player if he played for the Sox? Personally, I am dubious. - 8/3 Sox @ Rangers, 1PM, NBCSN
