  1. We don't even know if Pedro sees Colás as an everyday player. I still expect plenty of Sheets and Eloy, because this dumb org can't get out of its own way.
  2. Mo Bamba rumours? That would be intriguing.
  3. Never fear, Pedro will find a way to play him.
  4. Just put the dollars it would take towards Comiskey III across 35th. Even if it were feasible to do this, it’s just not worth it.
  5. This fucking org just isn’t worth the energy anymore…
  6. Deck chairs on the titanic. Or that rich person sub to the titanic…
  7. We are nearly two years removed from that flash-in-the-pan hot start with Lonzo, a guy who sadly may never play again. Sitting on their hands because a guy got injured is a sorry excuse for not improving the team. Whatever they were with Lonzo is long past, and probably wouldn’t have been sustainable anyway. Hoping Lonzo heals and magically returns them to that brief moment where they looked like a top team is a fools errand. I keep hearing excuses and continue to see a FO fail to find solutions. Saying they are handcuffed because I guy got injured is valid for only so long. They have had plenty of time, yet here we are.
  8. AKME painted themselves into a corner and handcuffed themselves to a mediocre roster. Not losing assets for nothing is hardly something to celebrate when the team as is is going nowhere and has little to no room for growth or hope for improvement. They mortgaged the immediate future and hard-capped themselves for a “competitive” team that isn’t good enough.
  9. Ok great, they added a shooter. What does this solve in the big picture though? They weren’t even a playoff team last year. So they might now have a punchers chance at the 6th seed and that precious playoff revenue? Color me excited!?
  10. When playoff revenue >> making a legit run.
  11. The contract itself is fine. Running it back with basically the same roster though is thoroughly uninspired. The org is stuck in neutral and this is another signing that doesn’t move the needle.
  12. I want to agree, but I don't have faith they will do the right thing. I still think they are deluded enough to stand pat and tell themselves that only being 5 back is still doable.
  13. Overpriced mediocrity, thy name is the Chicago Bulls.
  14. Trading Zach or Demar to keep and give Vuc a bigger role isn’t exactly an improvement IMO.
  15. If Vuc expects to get more touches on offense this team is worse off than I thought.
  16. They kept a mediocre aging center that doesn’t move the needle. Not exactly something to celebrate. Nor is keeping Vuc simply because they handcuffed themselves and didn’t have a better option. Running this team back isn’t a winning strategy, it’s merely doubling down on the deep deep hole they’ve dug themselves. All while delaying the long and painful, but necessary, process of starting over.
  17. Another day, another JR led org embracing overpriced mediocrity...
  18. The upper minors are barren and devoid of talent. It’s worse than the big club. They still can’t scout, draft, or develop, and unless you want to trade Cease and Robert, you have nothing to jumpstart the next rebuild. TA, Gio, Lynn, Moncada, Kelly, or Liam aren’t bringing back impact talent either. This org is completely fucked, and look no further than the dopes in charge. We won’t see competitive baseball on the Southside for at least 5 years. It’s that dire.
  19. No. There is no easy fix. This is worst case scenario territory. I hope we enjoyed that ALC title from a few years ago, because that was the peak for this bunch.
  20. Fire Rick Hahn today, let KW make the fire sale trades, then get to work putting feelers out for replacements with actual baseball acumen. This season is lost, as are likely the next few. There is no simple quick fix, and any attempt is merely delaying the inevitable.
