Can't waste (only) a year. Must waste 10.

I was perusing the Sox top 30 this morning, and it was really difficult to see anyone with a 2025/2026 eta, outside of Teel, who had a chance to be a difference maker. We are going to have a team with maybe 3 good position players, all burning service time, with nothing but retreads filling out the roster. With little to look forward to coming from the minors and zero hope of adding a star via FA. I think Getz is missing the build part of "rebuild"...

Vaughn's history of being bad is longer than 20 games this April though.

Eh, there are plenty of us who recognize that both suck, and we saw plenty of Sheets to know a hot start elsewhere is likely unsustainable. Non-tendering Vaughn last winter was the right move, and he's yet to prove otherwise. Another terrible start just validates those who are ready to move on from him right now.

Hahahahah. Seriously, Cruise Control best start brushing up on Korean culture, cuz he's not long for the Majors.

Shocking, right? Assembling the worst team in modern history can't be good for one's reputation around the league.

If Andrew Vaughn's dismal performance continues, he'll soon be at serious risk of being DFA'd, and that $6M in arb salary for this single year might be the biggest payday he ever sees. But, yeah, cruise control. A more apt analogy would be a car set ablaze, careening towards a cliff, with no driver at the wheel...

Dude has no track record of success to fall back on, but sure, he is on cruise control with his entire baseball future hanging in the balance. That is some galaxy brain s%*#.

Non-tendering him last winter was a no brainer. Another outstanding use of limited resources.

Baldwin is looking better than any of the corpses Getz brought in, and that's saying something.

And Getz was supposed to spare us all a wasted year...

Legit impressed with his plate discipline. Refreshing to see in a big league debut.

Non-tendering him at his arb number this year was a no brainer. They would have to eat cash to get anything in return.

WTP...

give it time

Vargas did a thing?

Give the kid a hit!

There's the White Sox we all know and love...

Vaughn goes before Vargas IMO.

Remember when the White Sox crushed lefties?

Sosa has more use than Vaugh, though they both looked clueless there...

Why wait for a non tender when a DFA is quicker...
