Old Saying.
There's a dude who would fall off a cliff the moment he signed.

H. Reynolds to B. Montgomery "You'll be in the big leagues this year"
Not rightly sure, but it wouldn't surprise me. I often have MLB.tv on in the background around the house, and his dumbass soundbites are prominetly featured in their repetetive promos. They seriously can't find better talent than him? I don't get it.

Late to the party, but allow me to echo and reiterate the above

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
I certainly wouldn't consider Baty off the market either, and If the Mets could trade Baty for Robert, I think they would do it in heartbeat. But I don't know what Baty does for the Sox at this stage of the rebuild. He feels like a Vargas type of acquisition, where former prospect status makes one think he has value, but the numbers in the Majors say otherwise. He's had nearly 700 AB's with the Mets, and had he hit consistently, he wouldn't have lost the starting 3B job to Vientos. I also believe he is out of options, so while he has a number of years of control left, he's basically another guy they have to roster or risk losing for nothing.

The Brewers claimed Dalbec
This is a lot of energy over a dude that was barely with the team and is in no way a notable loss. Wierd.

Sox claim RHP Yoendrys Gómez; release Greg Jones
Only after Jerry takes a dirt nap. It's has-been's and never-were's until then...

Free Tim Elko (Back in Jail)
Sure, but why even bother if they were going to call up Elko a day or two later?Seems pretty pointless.

They recalled Maton because, why?

Could the Sox rebrand as lovable losers?
There's not enough holy water in the known universe...

Could the Sox rebrand as lovable losers?
WTF is this nonsense? Someone needs their thread-starting privileges revoked...

Free Tim Elko (Back in Jail)
Pay no mind to what he says. Actions speak louder than his hollow bullshit statements.

This is the owner we have.....
Signing Harper and trumping the offer for Wheeler… A perennial MVP candidate and a legit Ace gets them out of the Wild Card round in 2020 and past Houston in 2021.

The money will be spent.. on hot garbage

Free Tim Elko (Back in Jail)
Sure, it’s easier to believe negative things about the org is after the perpetual shitshow of the past few years. But it’s not the same as applying a broad generalization to the whole fanbase that only applies to a specific subset as you did.

White Sox to get Montgomery back to Charlotte (late) next week, still eyeing majors (Janish)
Hyperbolic much? No one is calling Elko the savior of anything. Wanting to move away from Vaughn and give Elko a shot when he's tearing up AAA is perfectly fair.

Free Tim Elko (Back in Jail)
How incredibly myopic.
- Rojas, Freeman, Gilbert up, Ellard injured, Murfee down, Dalbec out

And then what happened? 😆

These uni's are hideous, I'm sorry. An all black with red trim and the Bulls style Chicago across the chest would look so much better.

Clevinger: Still in Charlotte
Hopefully wandering into Dan Ryan traffic...

Free Tim Elko (Back in Jail)
It would take a GM as incompetent as Chris Getz to trade *for* Andrew Vaughn. Poor defensive 1B who have never cracked an .800 OPS and are trending downward for the second consecutive season are in such high demand afterall.

And that's an 8-0 WHITE SOX WINNER
Dodgers burned through his options because he was continually bad after getting multiple opportunities. Let's not pretend that he hasn't gotten ample opportunity. Developement isn't linear so of course he could sustain this, but his track record suggests otherwise.

Rojas has fractured toe...
Getzy signed a a guy who can't his his weight, can't play SS, and whose best spot is 3B as "veteran insurance"... I love me some Josh Rojas but he was always a square peg here with the players already on the 40 man. But lets not question the wisdom (or lack thereof) of our infalable GM...

Polanco is having a nice bounce back year so far at the plate, but can't play the field or hit right handed yet, nor can he play every day as he works his way back to full strength. He was so bad last year though that picking him up as a flip candidate would have been risky.
