Far too late for panic honestly. It’s mid-June, the time for panic has past. They have barely stayed afloat hovering around .500 playing some of the worst, dumbest, most uninspired baseball since the tanking years. What possible signs are there that anything lights a fire under them w/o drastic structural change? We should be bracing for the inevitable collapse. We should consider ourselves lucky the bottom hasn’t already completely fallen out yet.

Their pro scouting is atrocious, and has been for a decade. Hahn is especially bad in this department. They also won't pay up in dollars or years for premium talent, and those attracted to what the Sox do offer tend to be on the wash up side and or the severely underperforming. FA that other teams pass over.

As I long time fan of the Chicago White Sox, they can be an incredibly frustrating org to invest your time and energy. But no one is making you consume this nonsense day in and day out, certainly to the level that the entirety of your countenance is doom and gloom. There is an entire world of entertainment options outside of a shitty sports team run by buffoons that don’t care one iota about your personal happiness. Log off, take a break, go get some fresh air and find some perspective. And seriously, find a healthy outlet for that negativity, something than obsessively shitposting on a message board. You’ll be better off if you do.

Also, it’s not like TLR was completely out of baseball for 10 years w/o a paycheck. He was part of the AZ org for a long time. I highly doubt recouping the remainder of his current deal is much of a motivating factor here.

If JR truly cared about his friend and his rep, he could allow him to resign for “health reasons” and still pay the contract if TLR really wanted out. Or a token promotion with a meaningless title so he can spend his days drunk at the assisted living facility. There are easy ways if TLR really wanted out. Intentional sabotage or dementia induced delusion, this team is going nowhere with TLR at the helm.
