Does it really matter what my intent was if I hurt you? You are still hurt, yes? Pain was still inflicted upon you. Why do you feel the need to defend Donaldson at all here? Why does he need protection from being called racist and being punished for something he admitted to doing? Why are you not defending TA, a Black man who has to deal with micro aggressions every single day of his life simply for existing in a white world? Why are you not more interested in understanding why Tim, your self professed favorite player, felt the way that he did?

They often do seem to respond well, but whether it’s sustainable is another story. Do they come out at home today with the same chip on their shoulders? We shall see.

If anything the blue checkmarks are coming out of the woodwork to deflect and defend Donaldson’s “intent.” As if we don’t already have a long documented history of the dude being complete and utter trash person on and off the field. Telling people just to move on says you’re ok with all of it and just want to sweep it away as if it isn’t a raw nerve for people of the receiving end of demeaning and derisive comments.

I missed Saturday’s game and only caught the twitter reaction to the Trash Donaldson saga so I was catching up too. Sunday DH sweep was sweet revenge in more ways than one.

I’m trying to think of an end the bench equivalent for Leury on those dynasty Bulls teams, but Phil Jackson was wise enough not to start and overplay a total scrub day in and day out. It’s like Randy Brown or Bobby Hansen starting at forward or center every time a regular had the slightest of ailments.

Does Kopech fair any better or worse entering in the 3rd inning as opposed to starting the game clean in the 1st? I’d rather he start games and if he tires or needs to be skipped in the rotation every so often then they can use VV or DK, or ReyLo. Don’t mess with Kopech when he’s going so well.

Would have liked to see MLB show some backbone and hit him with 5 games to show they actually give a shit. But this is MLB after all.

Lynn isn't even healthy yet, Cueto might just be smoke & mirrors, Cease looks incredible but he doesn't exactly have a long track record of these high level results, and Kopech while also looking incredible last night still has innings limitations to worry about. In this fraction of an instant they look like a top rotation on paper, but there are too many caveats and variables to declare them the best rotation going.

This right here really makes the most sense to me. He's still signed for 2+ years, there's no need to engage in extension talk unless he knows he wants to stay and is willing to trade some $$ to lock in those years. This is not a bridge that needs to be crossed until we get there.
