  1. Sox could go 0-125 to finish the season and TLR + FO would still be safe.
  2. They also saw their manager toss a teammate under the bus while he was basically carrying the team early last season. That has to make them question the level to which TLR does or doesn't have their backs.
  3. Curious who initiated the meeting. Was TLR ripping the coaches for the poor hitting? Ignoring their input and deflecting blame?
  4. Anyone considered expendable or tradable is likely at their lowest point in trade value, so you’d be selling low. Which defeats the purpose. Eloy would be tops on my list to trade but he’s a tarnished asset right now. You can’t sell low on guys and expect a quality return.
  5. What changes coming from the manager/coaches aimed at the locker room are a fix though? I don’t disagree about the making it public part, just curious where TLR points the finger when he himself is responsible for the shitty incoherent lineups, and the overplaying of utility guys, and the likely cause of the lackadaisical uninspired play. Who does he hold accountable when he himself is the problem?
  6. Hmm, sounds an awful lot like last year expecting to flip on the switch come October.
  7. White Sox and stranding base runners. Name a better combo…
  8. No no, it’s easy. He doesn’t deserve it.
  9. Emotional detachment? Being dead inside? IDK If I figure out the first step I’ll let you know.
  10. A big consistent bat in the middle of the lineup?
  11. I have no opinion of Cairo. I don't love he or McEwing. Point being they wouldn't make an outside hire during the season, if at all. But it's all moot as TLR is going nowhere.
  12. Failing to address LH power to aid the team's struggles vs RHP was high on the list of needs even if it weren't stated outright. Pollock was an upgrade over nothing, but the empty manager's uniform still runs him out to LF more often than not. We still don't have a legit RF. #4 has proven OK for now. Kopech will still have innings limitations and Keuchel is still a walking DFA candidate. VV might turn back into a pumpkin at any moment too. I agree with your general sentiment but the roster issues still remain. They seem awfully incapable right now of winning despite an even worse version of TLR.
  13. I have to imagine Lynn to the 60 Day is retroactive.
  14. In that appalling binary, so would I. But only because I’m beyond desperate to be free of TLR.
  15. It would be Cairo or McEwing interim. Not that there is any chance TLR is going anywhere.
  16. I’ve generally been in his corner during the rebuild and think he had a good vision of building from the ground up. But I have lost all respect for him post TLR. He shares responsibility for this mess and this FO should not be in charge of righting the ship.
