  1. If Dahl is healthy, I inquire first. Between Joc or Rosario, Joc is playable in RF so he's the obvious choice. If no Joc, JBJ's defense is appealing, knowing full well he's not great with the bat and his overall mediocre numbers are heavily skewed by the occasional scorching hot month.
  2. Duvall has only played 27 out of 547 in RF. LF mostly.
  3. No surprises. Don't see either coming back at this juncture.
  4. Cool, cool, cool, offseason additions then, please.
  5. Its cute that he's calling Vinnie Duber and Jesse Rogers his colleagues.??
  6. Tony LaRussa sucks as a human being. Accept that people see him as such.
  7. Who knows what a different playoff format does back then. Maybe they break through and win a couple. That might just change the trajectory of the whole franchise over time. Point being, sustained success matters little for the history books if the team never wins the whole thing. I'll take a single team etched in history over none at all.
  8. No one outside of chicago really remembers those great Sox teams of the 50s and 60s beyond losing in 1959. They aren't talked about in legends and lore. Thats what 'sustained success' does without ever winning a ring. I want multiple division championships and a shot at a title every year, but I'll take one over becoming the 50s Sox or late 90s Cleveland.
  9. If Vaughn doesn't break camp with the big club I see more of a rotating DH until he debuts. Maybe some Collins, some Abreu, some Eloy. We really have no idea at this point.
  10. LH RF with good numbers. A lot to like on paper, no idea if he would be on the Sox radar.
  11. Even that is too far fetched for me. Best I can do is hope for success despite him. Winning it all won't change my view that TLR was the wrong choice.
  12. That would be nice, but why would JR set up his bestie for failure like that?
  13. Actually, we shouldn't hope that. We should hope that they are wildly successful and win it all in year one, and then he rides off into the sunset. I might burn with rage every time I see his drunk dinosaur ass on my tv in my favorite uniform, but I still want the team to win despite him. Wishing for a mutiny is wishing for the worst.
