To me what's interesting in this quote is Getz is finally saying the word 'rebuild' that both he and JR refused to say earlier.

Paul Sullivan got this comment from the Sox on the 'unusual' social media posts: “As we planned for this unfortunate milestone, we were looking to come up with creative ways to acknowledge the reality of the situation, engage with our fans and with a wink, maybe disarm the negativity just a little bit."

I'll admit it could come back to haunt the Sox, word will get around but personally after what that stiff has put the fan base through for the last several years. I hope he rots on the bench the final week and doesn't sniff an at-bat.

That's because MLB considers the CHICAGO White Sox a major market team that gets no revenue sharing money. Unfortunately JR considers his franchise a small market club and feels players make far to much money as it is. The draft rules were changed in an effort to stop tanking...to bad that doesn't move the needle for JR one single inch.

Stone has it in his contract that he can miss two weeks during the season if I remember right and he can pick and choose the games he wants to miss.
