  1. From the Sun-Times: In 11 games since being sent down, Vaughn is slashing .233/.340/.349 with a homer and two doubles. That’s not terrific, but it’s much better than his production in the majors this season: .189/.218/.314 in 48 games.
  2. Really interesting part of this story is the news that the Sox asked Robert to change how he "works." https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2025/06/07/white-sox-trade-deadline-luis-robert-jr-chris-getz-will-venable
  3. Winning is fun, fun is winning - Ozzie Guillen
  4. You are correct, it basically said there are no guarantees any sale/transition will happen but many feel that is simply CYA phrasing. https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2025/06/06/white-sox-chris-getz-justin-ishbia-jerry-reinsdorf-rebuild-free-agent-spending
  5. Teel with a very nice start, especially liked him throwing out the guy trying to steal.
  6. Forgive me for being snarky in this post but PLEASE, PLEASE stop with the Sox are moving to Nashville crap. It has been pointed out time and time again why economically it doesn't make sense both from a White Sox standpoint and from a MLB position. Plus Ishbia's comments yesterday should put to rest any of the "moving" talk. Regarding your question NASHVILLE'S MAYOR said no money is available for any stadium deals because they spent it all on the Titans new stadium. Sure there's a "chance" the Sox could move to Nashville, there's also a "chance" I could win the lottery, there's a "chance" I'll be asked to do a few White Sox broadcasts and there's a chance I could gain 20 MPH on my fastball and get a second chance at baseball. You seem to be worrying about things just to worry. With respect you need to drop this and stop bringing it up. Again sorry for the way I posted this but this is pure utter unadulterated BS.

  8. The other issue was Comcast putting it on the most expensive tier while the Sox were opposed to it.
  9. Not underestimating that at all, history shows that is his M.O. Just saying I don't think he'll be alive for the full nine years.
  10. I'm willing to wager he's not around for the full nine years.
  11. More columns, one being the "be careful what you wish for" variety. My response to the author was basically anything has got to be better than this regardless of what baggage the Ishbia's carry: https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2025/06/05/chicago-white-sox-owner-justin-ishbia-phoenix-suns-jerry-reinsdorf-mat-ishbia https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2025/06/05/white-sox-fans-hail-news-of-potential-team-sale-it-gives-us-a-little-bit-more-hope
  12. True but without a LOT of $$$$$ to start things off you are D.O.A.
  13. If Ishbia is willing to pay for it, that is possible although given JR's long standing belief that MLB players aren't worth what they are being paid I don't consider it likely.

  15. Good question could have just been an unsubstantiated rumor.
  16. The long story I posted a few slots above talks about that possible site.

  18. Tremendous very detailed story on today's events and the possible location of a new stadium (Michael Reese). Includes quotes from Ishbia spokesman and politicians. Also had history of JR's machinations: https://chicago.suntimes.com/white-sox/2025/06/05/white-sox-jerry-reinsdorf-justin-ishbia-ownership-transfer-new-stadium “This is an investment in the future of the Chicago White Sox, and I am excited for the opportunity to deepen my commitment to the city and the team,” Ishbia said through a spokesperson. “I love Chicago, have always loved baseball, and am thrilled to marry two of my passions. I am also very pleased to have my brother Mat and father Jeff joining me in this investment, bringing their collective business and sports acumen to the partnership.” Reinsdorf never said how much money Sox ownership was willing to contribute to The 78 proposal. Ishbia has far deeper pockets that could potentially improve the team’s odds in Springfield.
  19. My God...a one run win and in extra innings too? Incredible

  22. I'm guessing it will be more along the lines of what the release said, "capital investments" aka money for a new stadium (and I'm guessing it will be a lot more than the 200 million JR is supposedly willing to contribute...)
  23. The one note that causes me concern was the statement in the release that the Sox said there's no assurance any such transaction will occur.
