  1. Literally none of the 3 called strikes to Eloy were strikes
  2. Assuming no improvement from what he is now, then yeah that's probably accurate. I think he can get up to a .280/.315/.425 guy in his prime though, with the good defense that we saw for most of last season
  3. If you aren't on it already, I'd jump on the Yoan Moncada 2019 all-star train pretty soon. It's about to leave the station...
  4. That inning wasn't even on Fry anyway. It was more Banuelos/Jones, Fry just allowed the one hit
  5. Jace Fry was one of the best relievers in baseball last year. 12.3 K/9, 6.5 H/9, 0/7 HR/9.
  6. The bullpen- Fry, Colome, Herrera, Frare, Hamilton (when healthy), will be good. The Jones/Banuelos types are another story
  7. If it's May/June and Lopez is still pumping 93, I'll be right there with you. For now, I'm gonna wait and assume his velo will pick up as it warms up and as he gets more reps
  8. I stand corrected on Junis' velocity drop. But I still don't think that anyone should be freaking out on Lopez averaging ~93 on a 39 degree day in March. As @Jake recently posted, he had a ton of weird fluctuations in velocity early last season too. The sample size is far too small
  9. He should have Hector Santiago's role but be a little more effective with it, hopefully
  10. So because he hit 92.9 on one pitch in the 2nd inning, his overall fastball velocity is at last season's average?
  11. That's not what I said, but I knew that strawman was coming. I was responding to a post about velo being down.
  12. Steve Stone keeps mentioning that next year, our opening game will be at home against Kansas City. Does he really know this already or is he just joking around?
  13. I hate these new picture in picture ads in between at-bats
  14. I don't have Insider but here http://insider.espn.com/mlb/insider/story/_/id/26389353/law-cactus-league-notebook-prospects-giants-indians-more
  15. Walker was getting mocked in the late 20s frequently IIRC.
  16. I'm not sure how this fact is debatable. Luis Gonzalez turned 23 in mid-September of last year. That means that he was 22 for the entire minor league season in 2018.
  17. It's laughable to want a natural shortstop who slugged .500 in the minors last year some more playing time? Rondon might never amount to anything, but we won't know if we don't give him the chance
