  1. Wasn't an error, likely for that reason
  2. These WGN camera angles on balls in play are so bad
  3. I think it was ruled a hit because it was a tough stop to make in the first place. And you can't fault a fielder by giving him an error for a ball many 3B wouldn't even get to cleanly. Which goes to show why it's such a bogus statistic to begin with.
  4. Yolmer and Palka both look completely lost at the plate so far. Swinging blind up there
  5. Yeah, this has been a really annoying issue all game long. It's also unintentionally funny because if it's supposed to be pseudo-rhyme humor, it shows that he isn't anywhere close at knowing how to pronounce "Eloy"
  6. Yes it is, but I don’t mind because it’s the same way for both teams
  7. I want to believe but I really doubt it. I fully expect 140+ starts for him this year while the actually intriguing infield prospect rots on the bench
  8. Giolito is getting a lot of swings and misses early
  9. I don’t think the Royals starters are particularly good, but rather our lineup, save for like 3 hitters, is just bad
  10. If alleged defensive wizard yonder Alonso doesn’t bobble that, Anderson doesn’t have to rush and they probably turn two
  11. Because he’s bad
  12. Nope, never. Natural shortstops who can play any infield position and slug .500 in AAA don't deserve playing time.
  13. The throwing error on Anderson did pretty much nothing to affect the score of the game. I’m not sure why you are always so reliant on an inherently subjective statistic
  14. I'd also like to point out how smooth he has looked at 3rd. The transfer on this play is unbelievable
  15. Literally none of the 3 called strikes to Eloy were strikes
  16. Assuming no improvement from what he is now, then yeah that's probably accurate. I think he can get up to a .280/.315/.425 guy in his prime though, with the good defense that we saw for most of last season
  17. He's still not at 100% in his recovery IIRC
  18. If you aren't on it already, I'd jump on the Yoan Moncada 2019 all-star train pretty soon. It's about to leave the station...
  19. That inning wasn't even on Fry anyway. It was more Banuelos/Jones, Fry just allowed the one hit
  20. Jace Fry was one of the best relievers in baseball last year. 12.3 K/9, 6.5 H/9, 0/7 HR/9.
  21. The bullpen- Fry, Colome, Herrera, Frare, Hamilton (when healthy), will be good. The Jones/Banuelos types are another story
