  1. Nicky has been better than the numbers would show but has still been a disappointment. The average/OBP *should* be higher, based on his batted ball profile, but even with average luck, his slugging would be pretty bad
  2. Fegan has been reporting it for a couple days
  3. Well that same logic is why you hated Moncada in April, and look at him now. There is objective data that tells you when an AB features a "good" result, and a 1+ month sample size is not nearly enough for these things to even out. Of course Nicky's defense is awful, unlike Yoan's but that's not my point.
  4. I can't say I disagree but you chose an odd time to post it following a good AB
  5. Abreu gets robbed like every other AB nowadays
  6. Shields isn't half bad when he's pounding the zone
  7. .260/.355/.488... man would I love for Moncada to finish the season with that line
  8. Honestly forgot choo was still in the league
  9. There goes Moncada's baserunning value on fangraphs, just because we didn't want to challenge
  10. I agree. I like India and I really don't see Madrigal being a plus defender anywhere other than 2nd.
  11. As was mentioned, Hamels was scratched. Here's the new lineup
  12. Not sure how reliable that guy is when it comes to this stuff, but intriguing nonetheless
  13. So if the Mize smoke is really true, and if he falls to us, I hope we snag him like we did with Rodon
  14. All true but I'm in Hyde Park, so also very close to the lake.
  15. He has looked encouraging from there lately in terms of batted ball results, so I look forward to him getting some more sample size in those RH/LH splits everyone loves to cite
  16. Freezing? Granted, I haven't been out in an hour but I felt good in short sleeves
  17. To keep Jimenez down for another full year would do nothing to help him. He's clearly ready to develop his skillset against Major League pitching and he should get that opportunity this summer. I'm all for saving money/years of control, but not when doing so is actively hurting the development of a cornerstone of the rebuild.
  18. Good. It'll be nice to get some more sample size in those numbers as a RH. I also think he has been looking better from that side lately
  19. Abreu has been ridiculously unlucky this year. He hits rockets all the time and they tend to go right at guys. xwoBA-wOBA discrepancy of about .075.
  20. Please don't trade Yolmer to Seattle
