The Garcias, Nicky, and Palka are far and away our best outfielders, and demoting any of Leury/Delmonico/Palka rather than Engel/Thompson when Avi is back would be an indescribably puzzling move.

Random thought, but if Renteria is gonna keep pulling guys, he better be 100% sure that they're not hustling. That's not really something you can do when it's not for sure and we already only have 2 non-catcher bench players.

You also have to consider that this team, constructed as is, is not a 9-25 team. I'm not saying they're good, I'm just saying they're not this bad.For the rotation, subtract Gonzalez and Fulmer, add Rodon and Kopech. Maybe Fulmer stays over Shields but I think they'll just move him to the bullpen. In the bullpen, it's really anyone's guess, but I think Gomez, Cedeno, Hamilton, and Burr could all get shots relatively soon. And I think any of them would at least be better than the Minayas and Infantes of the world.65-97 is my guess. In a month or two, this roster, specifically the pitching staff, will look completely different.What was Bell even doing? There was no play at firstRyan Burr too.
