The Winter/Spring Weather Complaint Thread
This winter weather today is HORRIBLE. 60 degrees and sunny in early March? Unacceptable.

White Sox Sign Austin Jackson
QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 7, 2016 -> 08:03 AM) It's really incredible how Hahn was able to make all these moves and not give up the draft picks. The Jackson move caps off a fascinating, yet productive offseason. Kudos to Hahn. I would've been annoyed had we given up assets in yet another trade- the free agent market was where we needed to strike and that's where he struck. Can't blame him if this team flops.

White Sox Sign Austin Jackson
QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 10:14 PM) Could Austin Jackson start for any other team in our division? Kansas City (would have to be RF though), Detroit (over Maybin/Gose), Cleveland (while Brantley is out)... basically any team but Minnesota. edit- lots of posters beat me to it- I'd say no to Minnesota because Rosario is probably better

White Sox Sign Austin Jackson
QUOTE (daggins @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 07:45 PM) I would agree with this. More bench pieces could be added, but right now i'd go with 3B/SS/2B - Saladino LF/RF/1B - Sands / Avi (prefer Sands) CF/LF/RF - Shuck / Fields / May C - Avila Well, by my count, that's a 6-man bench (counting just one of Sands/Avi), and that would leave us with a 5 man 'pen...

White Sox Sign Austin Jackson
QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 06:21 PM) Based on streamers projections if Sox run melky, Jackson and eaton for most of your everyday outfield is only putting up 32 homeruns combined. Better be hope Frazier can adjust to the AL and Laroche bounces back cause the sox need those big bats to produce. 32 seems conservative. They combined for 35 last year, and Melky/Jackson could easily hit more than they hit last year. I'd guess 41. 14 (again) from Eaton, 15 from Melky, 12 from Jackson

Seeing Rollins over Saladino still makes me roll my eyes... I mean, I know that's what will probably happen, but I think Saladino will have a much better year

White Sox Sign Austin Jackson
I feel like Eaton would be better suited in LF than RF, but Melky would be a nightmare in... well, either

Every time Butler left the floor, Houston went on a huge run. People do not realize how much his absence affected us.

2015-2016 NBA Thread
QUOTE (scs787 @ Mar 5, 2016 -> 08:55 PM) First game I've watched in quite some time. That was a fun 1St half. A lot of solid ball movement. Has it just been injuries that are holding the Bulls down?....Or is the Rockets D that bad? both, probably

QUOTE (raBBit @ Mar 5, 2016 -> 02:08 PM) CarGo stuff is bull. Sox interest in Bruce isn't that high. They are working on something though. Harper?

White Sox considering OFs Bruce, CarGo
QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Mar 4, 2016 -> 06:41 PM) Levine uses inexplicably bad grammar to hide the fact that all his articles are personal speculations disguised as reported rumors. He's actually a master of the written word, but he chooses to use his gift for evil. Yup. I mean, the White Sox may be interested in considering trading for OF Mike Trout. Boom, that's a headline.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 3, 2016 -> 11:09 PM) I think Draymond Green complains more to the refs than any player I've ever seen. Possibly even more than Dwyane Wade. More than Taj Gibson?

Music and more Music
QUOTE (raBBit @ Mar 3, 2016 -> 06:56 PM) I have completely soured on rap. I can't even get myself to listen to Kendrick's or Kanye's new albums now and I just don't like Drake despite his skills. Just grew out of it unfortunately. Mostly listen to rock/alternative or singer/songwriter type stuff but everything I listen to is old. Whether it's five years old or forty years old, it's old. I can't get myself into any new music. I feel like this genre is dying. All the kids like country, EDM and like 16 year old rappers who do weird drugs or Gang bang or have one eye. Long story short, I need help being directed towards up and coming alternative or singer/songwriter type music. I hate country, I hate EDM and can't get into new rap. I like Counting Crows, Modest Mouse, Nirvana, REM, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Arcade Fire, Elliott Smth, Avett Brothers, Wilco, Silversun Pickups, Band of Horses, Bon Iver, Paul Simon, Pixies, etc. What is something newish and still active that I would like? Please and thank you. Catfish and the bottlemen perhaps? Thinking new alternative bands
