Jose Abreu

QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 10:02 PM) Some misplaced anger tonight, but can they just call it a day on Beckham finally and give his ABs to somebody else? Enough is enough. Agreed. Let's see Micah back up here

QUOTE (Baron @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 10:02 PM) Well that'll be the last HR of the year for Garcia At this rate, that's sadly accurate

His first HR since June 8th. About 2 months.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 09:58 PM) I'm pretty sure Hawk knows Robin is a lousy manager. He doesn't praise Robin incessantly like he always did Beckham. I bet u when Robin gets canned or resigns after the season, Hawk's schtick next year will be how Robin is a great guy but the organization is really looking forward to play under the new manager. I have a feeling Ozzie Guillen will be the manager of next year's team. I also think it's likely that Buehrle signs a one year deal here, or in St. Louis.

DL Sale, dangle Samardzija in waivers, try and cut/send down the Leury Garcias and Gordon Beckhams of the world in order to call up young guys like E. Johnson, M. Johnson, Davidson, and Coats (obviously some will wait until September) to see what they've got. That should be the plan for the rest of the year.

His defense has been respectable but he's no #2 hitter.

QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 07:16 PM) Let's hope Sale doesn't choke from all the pressure. ...

Sox lose... that was fast

When I saw this, I immediately assumed he already has a job lined up with LAA or BOS. He won't be coming here

Chris Archer is 0-4 with a 3.96 ERA in his last 6 starts.

Against Chris Archer, Jose Abreu is 5-9 with a home run and three runs batted in. Overall vs Tampa Bay, Abreu is hitting .400 with 5 home runs and 18 runs batted in in 40 at-bats.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 11:29 AM) f*** OFF MATE! QUOTE (Mike F. @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 11:39 AM) You're such a negative nancy. Just trying to be realistic

QUOTE (Mike F. @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 12:16 AM) This is an absolute must win game if the Sox want to stay in this thing. Our ace against their ace. Sale better have his good stuff. A loss pretty much means we are done IMO. Feel free to post your predictions for each pitcher. I'm going to guess: Sale - 7.1 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 11 K Archer - 7 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 BB, 9 K The Sox win 3-2 and Sale gets his 10th win of the season. I'll say: Sale- 6.1 IP, 9 H, 4 R (3 ER), 0 BB, 7 K Archer- 8 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 10 K Sox lose 5-3 despite an Abreu 3-run HR.

QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Aug 4, 2015 -> 12:57 AM) It's the highest level of blasphemy to include the above (bolded) combination of names in one sentence- not unlike mentioning Lord Voldemort by name in Harry Potter. It really is blasphemous- he forgot all about my man Ryan Bukvich!

I still think it's Opening Day. We all had such high hopes, coming in with all the offseason moves... we were at least expecting a close game, but what was the score, 11-0 or something? Just crushed Soxtalk's spirits, more than today did

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 3, 2015 -> 10:27 PM) He just cost the White Sox any chance of getting the wild card. He MUST be fired. I mean if he uses 1/10th of his brainpower he does not send Lexi there. He just has to go. Don't get me wrong, I know it was a terrible move and I think he should be fired, not just for this but for all of his horrendous decisions this year. But we're the White Sox. We won't fire him.

Opening Day is still the worst for me.

Let's be real... McEwing won't/shouldnt' be fired over this.

I miss Jeff Cox

Sanchize has had many clutch hits this year. One came a couple innings ago, there was the bases clearing triple at Detroit, etc... let's see if he can do it again

wow...

PH Trayce, let him steal the show lol
