  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 11:10 PM) You do realize that's not exactly a good ratio for a pitcher? It's not, but it's not horrible for a #5 starter.
  2. Umpires just wanted to get home. 4 hour game, I get it, but kinda annoyed.
  3. LaRoche with 4 hits AND a scoreless inning pitched? His best game all year.
  4. LaRoche is still laughing and smiling as he steps up to the plate. I've rarely seen him smile all year
  5. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 11:00 PM) Maybe Adam can pitch for Danks instead. Maybe we can have Danks DH Here we go! *grabs popcorn*
  6. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 10:59 PM) He said HIS season. Hard to argue really. Misread, my bad. I'd reluctantly agree, then.
  7. QUOTE (woods of ypres @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 10:56 PM) Casper wells pitched p well too, I think. Forgot about that. He pitched a scoreless inning for us, but his career ERA is 27.
  8. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 10:54 PM) Dave LaRoche was his dad . Pitched with the Sox, Twins ,Angels among others if I'm remembering right. Knew his Dad was a pitcher, but didn't think of it tonight. Thanks for the reminder.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 10:53 PM) He was great. Funny and sad that the No. 1 highlight of his season so far is that. That last pitch was amazing. Yeah, this was good but I definitely wouldn't call it the #1 highlight of the season.
  10. LaRoche K's Ryan He actually wasn't too bad. Best Sox position player pitching appearance in recent history. Certainly better than Dunn and L. Garcia. Hit 85, threw in a 62 MPH hook.
  11. His speeds ranged from 62-85... actually wasn't that bad.
  12. At least our team's spirits have been lifted. Great managerial decision.
  13. Swear it looks like Brendan Ryan struck out on purpose...
  14. Thought Rodon would look more like Sale did in 2010.
  15. QUOTE (shipps @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 05:56 PM) It's a good thing. Thanks for all the posting and updates. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 07:12 PM) you did an excellent job of posting smart and interesting post. many thanks. Thanks guys. Sad that all of the updates meant nothing in the end, but maybe we'll make a waiver move!
  16. What is that 85-86 MPH pitch he throws that drops at the last second? My guess is a sinker, splitter, or forkball. Whatever it is, it's NASTY.
  17. QUOTE (RaySox @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 06:51 PM) Since people are talking about age, I'm actually 17 going on 18. Nice to know there are other die-hard sox fans around my age that can speak on this site without showing any sign of young age. I've been pretty much obsessed with the Sox since 2004, so I was only 6/7 years old. 7 years old was when I started too. Probably because I had gotten into playing baseball that year. Like I said earlier, that was the 2007 season... Ryan Bukvich, Ehren Wasserman, Andy Gonzalez... good times.
  18. QUOTE (shipps @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 05:22 PM) Dude you love you some trade deadline. You have 129 posts today. The most of all posters by far. I get really pumped up around trade deadline, I guess. Having Twitter and all the new resources and whatnot certainly help. edit- also a kid during summer with nothing better to do than stay inside and catch up on trade rumors lol
  19. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 03:39 PM) You only playing 5 innings Played 9, only scored 12. I should return the game, it's obviously broken.
  20. Thanks obviously the second "to" in the original post should be "for", but that's what happens when you spend three minutes on this stuff. After a year, I finally updated Chris Sale's Gmail account (my signature). Take a look if you liked this!
