Cy LaRoche pitches 1-2-3 inning
LaRoche K's Ryan He actually wasn't too bad. Best Sox position player pitching appearance in recent history. Certainly better than Dunn and L. Garcia. Hit 85, threw in a 62 MPH hook.

QUOTE (shipps @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 05:56 PM) It's a good thing. Thanks for all the posting and updates. QUOTE (LDF @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 07:12 PM) you did an excellent job of posting smart and interesting post. many thanks. Thanks guys. Sad that all of the updates meant nothing in the end, but maybe we'll make a waiver move!

What is that 85-86 MPH pitch he throws that drops at the last second? My guess is a sinker, splitter, or forkball. Whatever it is, it's NASTY.

QUOTE (RaySox @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 06:51 PM) Since people are talking about age, I'm actually 17 going on 18. Nice to know there are other die-hard sox fans around my age that can speak on this site without showing any sign of young age. I've been pretty much obsessed with the Sox since 2004, so I was only 6/7 years old. 7 years old was when I started too. Probably because I had gotten into playing baseball that year. Like I said earlier, that was the 2007 season... Ryan Bukvich, Ehren Wasserman, Andy Gonzalez... good times.

What Really Went Down Before The Deadline
Thanks obviously the second "to" in the original post should be "for", but that's what happens when you spend three minutes on this stuff. After a year, I finally updated Chris Sale's Gmail account (my signature). Take a look if you liked this!

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 03:28 PM) Do you think this gives a boost of confidence to the 25 guys in the locker room? yes, but barely- NO last minute DEAL list
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 03:29 PM) They do have the same number of wins as us and 1 fewer team in front of them for the 2nd WC spot (although 1 of the teams in front of the White Sox is the Tigers who sold off). So what? They're 7.5 GB as opposed to 3.5.- White Sox make no trades at the deadline.
Lots of talk about this in "The Disappointment Thread", but I think that if we really weren't buyers/going to trade a bat, we should have traded Samardzija.- The Disappointment Thread

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 31, 2015 -> 03:12 PM) Not disappointed...if they keep playing well the next two weeks, I'm sure they'll add another bat if needed. I'd rather have that bat for 2 months than 1- The Disappointment Thread
