  1. QUOTE (shysocks @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 02:11 PM) McCutchen singled to right, Ishikawa scored, Decker to second, Decker to third McCutchen to second on throwing error by right fielder Rosario.McCutchen and Decker scored on error by third baseman Núñez. Can't wait to see that on the Not Top Ten.
  2. Here's his explanation, guys. So he's saying make this trade before Sale gets injured. Ok, buddy.
  3. How many options does Leury have now?
  4. There goes that batting average. Unless he gets a hit in every AB?
  5. Oh my god. Read the comments. He goes and VEHEMENTLY defends the trade.
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 01:57 PM) Left handed batters and Jeremy Guthrie just don't mix Unless, of course, they're our left handed batters. Then they mix very, very well.
  7. 7/29/15 Sox @ Red Sox Eaton (5 pts): Condor13 Abreu (1 pts): Avi (3 pts): Melky (4 pts): LaRoche (2 pts): Alexei/Bacon (4 pts): Flowers/Soto (3 pts): Jose Abreu Sanchez/Emilio (6 pts): Sladino/Bacon (5 pts): Bench (8 pts): Noone ( 1,000,000 pts ): hi8is
  8. LMAO. Actually laughed. Not only is this the worst proposal ever, but we're also supposedly not selling anymore.
  9. Also, it'll probably be another 620-630 start. There's another Pedro Martinez retirement ceremony.
  10. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 12:56 PM) Jerry Crasnick ‏@jcrasnick 1m1 minute ago #Braves are also fielding some calls on A.J. Pierzynski and Jonny Gomes. Battled-tested, stretch drive acquisition types. https://twitter.com/jcrasnick I'm not interested in Gomes...but AJ maybe. He's on a 1 year 2 million dollar deal. 1.3 offensive WAR player(.4 overall). I'd have interest in Pierzynski if this were last year. But not anymore. Flowers and Soto have done well this year. Combined 1.1 fWar.
  11. Part of me hopes Leury Garcia isn't called up to replace Bonifacio/in September so he can finish the season with the incredible 1.000 batting average.
  12. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 12:46 PM) The Marlins are a f***ing joke. The Dodgers are flexing their big market muscles and just buying picks. Each year, the Marlins are rewarded a "Competitive Balance" pick and each year they trade it. LA will most likely just DFA Morse and take the financial hit. Morse would be a great fit to DH here. edit- nevermind, just looked at his stats
  13. He's clearly a streaky hitter. From 4/15 to 5/28, these were his numbers: 10-58 (.172 AVG) 1 HR 6 RBI When he's on a hot streak like this, then I'm on board with giving him more starts. However, during his longer cold streaks, Flowers is obviously the better choice both offensively and defensively.
  14. Since the All-Star break, Geo Soto's numbers are: 5-12 (.417 AVG) 3 HR 5 RBI 1.896 OPS
  15. On the current 6-game winning streak/road trip, Melky's stats are: 15-27 (.556 BA) 2 HR 10 RBI 1.111 SLG 1.683 OPS
  16. Melky Cabrera's last 31 games: 46-122 (.377 BA) 9 BB (.410 OBP) 5 HR 24 RBI The Sox are 19-12 over this stretch.
  17. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 12:28 PM) Rays up on Tigers 1-0, bottom 6 Twins no score after 1 We want the Tigers to win this one, right?
  18. QUOTE (shysocks @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 12:33 PM) Feels super weird to be scoreboard watching, but holy **** here I am. Takes me back to the 2012 run.
  19. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 11:56 AM) Is Abreu even feeling better? Yes, he said his finger has healed.
  20. QUOTE (shipps @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 11:41 AM) I do get the feeling that the Sox are going to pull off some crazy trade along these lines that will have us saying... Wow didnt see that one coming! Someone we probably havent even mentioned yet. Homer Bailey for Dye!
  21. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 11:11 AM) Jerry Crasnick ‏@jcrasnick 3m3 minutes ago The #BlueJays continue to cast a wide net in starter search. Gallardo, Leake, Cashner, Ross, Fiers, Haren all on the radar. https://twitter.com/jcrasnick I asked him if Shark is off the market and he said not officially. But it's getting harder to see him traded everyday. That was you? I think Dan Hayes retweeted that.
  22. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 11:39 AM) We could always, you know, put him on the DL... Last week it was "DL ABREU!" now it's "DL LAROCHE!"
