Didn't know he was injured. Thanks for the links, guys -
White Sox will be buyers at the deadline

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 10:55 AM) I see this as a detroit writer shill trying to drive up the "Price point" IMO That's what I thought, too. -

QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 10:54 AM) I'm kinda worried about trading in an attempt just to compete for a one-game road trip. If it's more about that AND adding for the 2016 team, then it would make more sense to buy now. Interesting times. But Sale would be starting that game. I like those odds. -

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 11:01 AM) Yeah, I saw nothing wrong with those comments. He's a competitor and wants to play and admits the rest was good for him but that his pride is hurt (because of his poor play, not because Robin sat him). I also think his hand is hurt and he's playing through it and his performance is suffering as a result (I might be completely wrong though). Why his hand? Where did you get that from? -
QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 10:10 AM) The Cubs would never do that. Hence the green

QUOTE (Mike F. @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 10:09 AM) This is a horrible idea. Trade anyone not named Q, Rodon, or Fulmer for Puig and I'll be happy. There's no reason to move Q. So you'd trade Sale, Samardzija, Abreu, etc. for Puig?
-
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 09:41 AM) No there isn't. He also had an effective long relief outing a week or so ago. Thatcher's strictly situational. Do not need. BTW, our bullpen's pretty good. You can never have enough bullpen arms. Keep in mind, Thatcher is a proven vet who can help all of our young relievers.

Tyler Danish, Micker Adolfo, Frank Montas, Erik Johnson, Trayce Thompson, and Samardzija to the Cubs for Kyle Schwarber and Jason Hammel We get a Samardzija replacement and a DH!

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 09:45 AM) I honestly think we'll sweep. Boston's starting pitching is beyond bad. Watch the winning streak end Thursday when Sale pitches...

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 09:29 AM) I'm not giving away Erik Johnson at this point, it appears he figure it out and we will need a RHP to replace Shark after this season. I say ride it out with this lineup if you want to contend, if you want to sell, sell now. I love how I always read your posts 2-3 times very carefully to see if there are any hints about a potential trade

QUOTE (lasttriptotulsa @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 09:44 AM) No way I'd give up Quintana for Puig. Puig has gotten worse every year and has the maturity of a 10 year old. Come on, man, that's offensive to 10 year olds.

QUOTE (wuk @ Jul 29, 2015 -> 09:28 AM) posting this here as I saw it during the postgame interviews (specifically during the Shark interview). Sale's tat across his back....whoa....just whoa... What is it?
-
He's a free agent now. You can never have enough bullpen arms, and he's a lefty. Could replace Jennings, has a 3.17 FIP and 10.4 K/9.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 11:00 PM) I will try and keep the first post in this thread updated with standings and such Thanks! Having to go to MLB.com wild card standings has already gotten annoying.

QUOTE (Ballz-n-Strikes @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 10:59 PM) And this is why valuation statistics exist. LaRoche...has none. Like literally...NO value. No matter how you turn things around and upside down and inside out.... Melky...does. LaRoche is an albatross. I saw in an earlier thread a guy talked about "that other French guy"...talking about Francouer. Was funny, but he was right. Fancouer would've been a smarter move than this guy.... Maybe we should just avoid LEFT hitting "Adam"s. But Eaton! -
Anyway, 3.5 GB!

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 10:33 PM) Adam Rosales coming in to pitch for the Rangers....again. I can never keep track of whether that guy is on the Rangers or the A's. I feel like sometimes he's on both.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 09:49 PM) I think this last Royals trade was dumb. KC is so far ahead it is a lock to win the division which means it avoids the one-game wildcard bulls***. With that amazing defense, there's no way they can blow an 8-game lead even with Dyson and Orlando filling in for Gordon. Dyson and Orlando are useful players. They FULLY EXPECT Gordon to return well before the playoffs. So this most recent trade for Zobrist strips them of more pitchers who figured to be huge contributors in the future. There's no way they'll sign Zobrist or Cueto for next season so I think this last trade was dumb. Cueto is needed FOR the playoffs; Zobrist isn't. Seems like a dumb move by KC to strip itself of so many pitching prospects for the future. These two guys are rentals. They're not trying to simply win the division. This was a World Series move.

And this. @ScottMillerBbl 19s19 seconds ago White Sox now have won 6 straight and only 4 games out of 2nd wild card. Sox 48-50. After 98 last year, KC was 48-50. Then, World Series

QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 09:19 PM) I'm wondering why Tim Anderson didnt play today Oh god. Scheduled rest I hope

48-50, 4 back in the WC. 3rd place in the Central. Melky hitting over .500 during the past week.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 28, 2015 -> 09:17 PM) Nightingale makes it sound like we won't be selling shark. He's usually pretty well connected. assuming you mean this: Bob Nightengale @BNightengale 3m3 minutes ago Jeff Samardzija can unpack his suitcase. He leads the #WhiteSox to 6th straight victory, who have now surpassed #Tigers and closing on #Twins

The Big D @Life_In_The_D 3m3 minutes ago Tigers are now worse than the Chicago White Sox. I didn't think it would ever get this low. Talk about a horrible season of baseball. Ugh. Matthew B. Mowery @matthewbmowery 4m4 minutes ago White Sox beat Boston (yeah, I know, right?) 9-4, and pass the #Tigers for third place in the Central. Yes, the #Tigers are in FOURTH.
