  1. He later retracted Cole to LAA and said Cole to NYY, but I don't think that's something he should be commended for, as we all sort of knew that move before it happened
  2. And it should be obvious, especially in a deal with the White Sox, that cash would also be changing hands, so I'm not sure if that trade value calculator (which isn't the best to begin with) can be trusted much for such a transaction since we don't know how much cash the Rockies would send.
  3. It's a big contract, but it's not like Arenado is a bad player or anything. There's no chance the Rockies trade him for anything less than multiple T100 prospects
  4. Don't know how this hasn't been corrected yet, but this guy's track record is terrible. None of these are close to accurate.
  5. Yeah I’d guess Madrigal, Vaughn, Collins, Stiever for Arenado and cash. And I’d do it if I were the Sox.
  6. I'm amazed that there are still people who think Adam Engel deserves a role on an MLB team when the only thing he does well is run fast. Sure, he "hit lefties well" last year, but if you really are placing that much weight on an 89 PA sample, don't be shocked next year when he regresses. He's .252/.298/.381 (83 wRC+) against lefties in his career.
  7. Nitpicking but I would move Anderson up in the order to split up the lefties (Mazara/Collins back to back). I think Cesar and rookie Madrigal are ideal #9 hitters. But holistically, I think they're good ideas. You'd have to be sure to DH Grandal when he's not catching, sending EE to the bench, but getting 120+ games out of EE is still better than having Collins DH nearly full-time (and I like Collins).
  8. Are you sure about this? I just researched this a bit and couldn't find any information regarding the blackouts ending.
  9. I'm already afraid of having Abreu 3rd and Mazara 4th while Eloy and Grandal, the two better hitters, hit 5/6. It's not the end of the world but over the course of a full season it probably costs us a game or two.
  10. Not sure if this is a serious suggestion but, assuming Robert does not get extended, the start of the season is when we'd need him most since we'll be down a competent outfielder
  11. I'm not a big fan of the move but I also think this is premature
  12. Are we supposed to factor in cost of acquisition or is it just most valuable? If it's most valuable, I'd go Gallen, Snell, Marquez, Gray
  13. Frazier is basically a RHH DH who doesn't walk and doesn't hit for power and doesn't defend and wasn't even good in AAA last year and people want him in RF? I'd literally rather just give Leury those reps
  14. Someone is going to have to tell all of his colleagues that they've been interacting with a fake account for over 7 years then
  15. It's not fake, it's the actual reporter making a joke
  16. Sounds eerily similar to Steve Cishek's tweet from earlier! I guess we know where Kinander gets his info from
  17. That's exactly why I think the ask would start with Robert. And the talks would end.
  18. Not trying to enter the rabbit hole, but in the context of the MLB market, that's actually a solid percentage
  19. He had the deal itself about a week before any U.S. reporter, and everyone (including U.S. reporters themselves) laughed at him. Then, when the deal actually happened, people still wouldn't give him credit because he didn't get the terms exactly right. Those who choose to write him off can do so if they please, but no matter how loudly they scream into the void about how bad he is, it's obvious to any impartial reader that he has good sources.
