http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/7/71/10...3/trades-likely Part of this article was mentioned from what Hahn talked about on the score yesterday. I been trying to find the audio. Hahn said for the last 3 weeks he's been talking to other GM'S about trades and will be able to sit down this week with some face to face during the gm meetings to get a realistic idea on what can happen.

Byung-ho Park bidding rights won by Twins, $12.85 m
Whisox05 replied to southsider2k5's topic in The Diamond Club
Regarding Byung-ho Park, I hear it's also not mets, yanks, Dodgers, angels, padres or Indians. https://twitter.com/JonHeymanCBS/status/663434677714309120 -

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Nov 8, 2015 -> 11:44 AM) I'm sure we can safely rule out Cubs (Rizzo), Dodgers (Gonzalez), Giants (Belt/Posey), Diamondbacks (Goldschmidt), Nats (Zimmerman gets at bats here as the starter), Braves (Freeman unless they plan on dealing him), Brewers (LuCroy gets at bats here along with Lind as starter), Twins (logjam between 1B/3B/DH) and most likely us. I'm thinking either Pirates, Marlins, Mariners or Rockies. Actually the brewers are supposedly looking to maybe trade lind. -
QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Nov 7, 2015 -> 06:36 PM) Who are the best free agents that didn't receive QOs? Obviously Price, Cespedes, & Zobrist, not sure who else though. Cueto

Taking it one step further: Source says Red Sox are not the team with winning Byung-Ho Park bid, plan to stick with Hanley Ramirez at 1B. https://twitter.com/JeffPassan/status/663138681188827136 -
White Sox make qualifying offer to Jeff Samardzija.
Whisox05 replied to LittleHurt05's topic in Pale Hose Talk
If the #WhiteSox don't sign any free agents with a qualifying offer they'd have 3 picks in the top 50-55 players in the 2016 draft. https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/662707171218612224 -
Two poll questions as we enter the offseason

QUOTE (daggins @ Nov 5, 2015 -> 07:56 PM) Give me Latos or Fister. Trade EJ for a 3B or SS. I voted payroll at 120-129 and I tend to think lower. I don't think think EJ is going to get you a top 3rd baseman. Also don't know why you would trade him for a shortstop when you only need a stop gap for now. -
Re: Mariners/TB trade -- GMs say there is a ton of trade conversation going on right now. https://twitter.com/Buster_ESPN/status/662454622620094468 Can't wait to see what Hahn is doing

Dan Hayes said alexei had some personal issues this year. I'm guessing minnie had an effect this year.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Oct 21, 2015 -> 04:43 PM) DH, C, 3B, and maybe 2B are what we really need to work on. I would also like to grab another SP (Sale, Q, Rodon, Johnson, FA P), move Danks to the bullpen or trade him for nothing. Sox aren't going to move Danks to the pen and aren't going to eat his contract to trade him. Will likely be a august move when he has contract is alot lower.
-
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Oct 7, 2015 -> 06:45 PM) If they make any moves, I don't see them dealing anyone good from the MLB roster (maybe Q if they're blown away?). I would be ok dealing any prospect not named Fulmer or Anderson as I see any move that will be made to be more likely a quantity over quality deal. If we can get a bat for the price of Montas, Micah, Hawkins(, Michaelczewski if its a 3B back) I would pull the trigger in a heartbeat. The thing with trading Quintana is your should get multiple top prospects back to fill multiple positions. The farm system is thin still and trading a bunch of prospects to get one bats is the wrong way of going. One bat is not going to fix the linup with to many holes. Plus those prospects listed are not going to get you a big bat that's needed.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 05:19 PM) We had a better record than them a couple days before the deadline. Who knows what would have happened if we were buyers... Would have needed a couple bats but with shark totally going to crap after deadline don't think much would have happened. Offense had to many holes through the year.

QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 4, 2015 -> 05:10 PM) Looks like... Astros at Yankees....winner plays Royals Rangers at Blue Jays and Cubs at Pirates...winner plays Cardinals Mets at Dodgers Kinda funny how many people including here said why did the Rangers get Hamels at the deadline when they were 50-52. This is why

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Sep 26, 2015 -> 07:02 PM) Nail in the coffin for RV. 3 straight losing seasons. He needs to be fired ASAP. Let's do remember the 2 years before were rebuilding years. This year should have been another but they decided to go for it and it back fired

White Sox at Tigers 9/22 game thread 6:08 first pitch
Whisox05 replied to southsider2k5's topic in 2015 Season in Review
Kinda funny how many peeps on here didn't want the Sox to get Andrew miller and wanted someone else like duke instead. Laroche was one of my feel disappointed when I saw that the Sox signed him. -
The issue is it took till the all-star break and beyond for alexei to start producing offensively. With how bad this teams has been offensively this year alexei has been part of the issue. Waiting for him to finally produce till after the all star break is a huge issue. I really hope the sox don't pick up his option. If they want to decline it and give him a cheaper 1 yr deal ok but pay 10 million for a player declining and maybe he eventually produces ar some point of the year with the sox in huge need of offense is a big issue.

QUOTE (ewokpelts @ Sep 7, 2015 -> 12:32 PM) I think cooper needs to go more than Williams or Hahn. I disagree with this. Pitching hasn't been the issue all year. Steverson should have been the first to go since that's been one of the areas that's killed this team. Then robin and kenny.

QUOTE (Knackattack @ Sep 6, 2015 -> 02:07 PM) 0 plate discipline or pitch recognition and horrible defense makes a stinker in my book And yet still in top offensive categories on the team which isn't saying much for how bad offensive the team is but is providing something
