Todd Frazier Available
QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Dec 14, 2015 -> 05:02 PM) Lol no he said Rodon. I laughed at that. Cause I'm sure we could throw in Robin instead. Might even be able to get a gofund me page for sox fans to try to cover his salary to get rid of him lol

Heyman: Justin Upton to the Tigers
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 14, 2015 -> 05:16 PM) Markakis is worse than Avi at this point. No thanks. Unless he's worse defensively otherwise other then low power last year he's was better then avi last year. Avi 257.309.365.675 Markakis 296.370.376.746 Markakis gets on base alot more then avi and he hits for a higher average. Sox need guys on base. Tho Markakis does have more power before he also was a 1.9 war vs -0.3 on avi

QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 14, 2015 -> 09:55 AM) or better yet, rethink the game plan of how to make this team competitive and walk away from this. The problem is for the amount of offense they need and the price to get it is either going to be using a starting pitcher to get multiple pieces, trade prospects , or spend a bunch of money. The Sox are stuck on a fine line cause the starting pitching is very good and to trade from it will take away from the team. Trading a bunch of prospects witb a thin farm system will set you back. Sox opening up the money purse to get free agents might end up hampering you with a big contract . Unfortunately to fix most of it would be a full rebuild but they don't want to. So the dilemma goes on

Heyman: Justin Upton to the Tigers
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Dec 13, 2015 -> 06:27 PM) Last time Merkin said that, our own RaBBit & Nightengale mentioned that the Sox are/were interested in Upton. Nightingale was just saying that's were he thinks would be a good place land upton. Rabbit also said sox were talking to Reds for catcher before Sox got navarro. So it's all speculation. Hahn I'm sure would like to get the picks especially if they have to get any trades giving up talent. Cespedes makes more sense then

Trade Quintana and Eaton to the Cubs???
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 12, 2015 -> 03:02 PM) Life goes on. Cubs fans made it through the Sox winning, I'm sure we will be ok if they do I've seen cubs fan talk alot of crap about the sox winning the world series. Sox apparently still suck in alot of cubs fans eyes even for winning it all. And hope that I never have to see the cubs win the world series in my lifetime for how ignorant their fans can be. Sad part most are generally fans which make it worse.

Rockies outfielders in trade talks
http://m.rockies.mlb.com/news/article/1594...s?tcid=tw_share Says the White Sox have been long speculated as a possible landing slot for Carlos Gonzalez but rockies looking at Quintana. Basically they are looking for stating pitching and bullpen help

QUOTE (oldsox @ Dec 11, 2015 -> 08:29 PM) A talking head media type on MLB just said Cinci wanted Tim Anderson for Frazier, and Sox said no. Hopefully Sox can sway them with a different package

What about Carson Fulmer for Ryan McMahon?
QUOTE (oldsox @ Dec 11, 2015 -> 08:14 PM) Ditto. Before considering this trade, Hahn has to determine if this kid with Rockies is a much better prospect than Trey. Well just saying McMahon is a top 100 prospect at #50 and he's number 3 on top 3rd baseman prospects in all of the minors. Trey Michalczewski maybe very good one day but he's not touching McMahon right now. Trey might be needing some more time to decide anything.

What about Carson Fulmer for Ryan McMahon?
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 11, 2015 -> 08:00 PM) I'm just really high on Fulmer and feel like he's going to be a very good big league pitcher. That being said, I'd trade any Sox prospect sans Fulmer or Anderson for McMahon. Ya I would say see what else it would take other then fulmer or Anderson but the things ive read on McMahon is pretty good .

What about Carson Fulmer for Ryan McMahon?
QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Dec 11, 2015 -> 07:57 PM) No thanks. Why? Not saying fulmer but it's a guy that fits Hahns younger controllable player. Plus we don't particularly have a future 3rd baseman at this point.

What about Carson Fulmer for Ryan McMahon?
http://southsideshowdown.com/2015/12/11/wh...ce=snsanalytics McMahon has some pretty nice stats. Probably going ton be blocked by Arenado.

Plans for rest of the Off Season
QUOTE (Alexeihyeess @ Dec 10, 2015 -> 08:57 PM) OF Yoenis Cespedes 4y/$80m SS Ian Desmond 1y $8.5m Erik Johnson to Red Sox for 2B Brock Holt 1 Adam Eaton CF 2 Ian Desmond SS 3 Jose Abreu 1B 4 Yoenis Cespedes LF 5 Brock Holt 2B 6 Brett Lawrie 3B 7 Melky Cabrera DH 8 Trayce Thompson RF 9 Navarro/Avila C Avila, Garcia, Sanchez, LaRoche (so stupid he has to be on the Sox still) off the bench. Pitching is the same. Pitching isn't same since now you have a hole in rotation.

The LaRoche article dug up from 2015
Brewers were looking for 1st baseman. Orioles might need help if Davis leaves

Plans for rest of the Off Season
I really don't think the Sox will be signing a player with a pick attached. Beat writers have beensaying they don't believe the Sox will. If they end up doing a trade for the likes of Frazier or carlos gonzalez or who ever else they will need those 3 picks in the top 50 to recoup what they traded away. Plus this is the first time the Sox had those type of picks in a while especially 2 in the top 30 in a long time. Chance for the sox to stock up on better and quality talent. So if they clear space for an outfielder I can see going for Cespedes. He's also carries energy which should help in the club house which the Sox need to go along with Lawrie and eaton.

White Sox acquire Brett Lawrie
Lawrie's 16 HR would have been second on #WhiteSox last season, ahead of Adam Eaton's 14. This team obviously needs power boost https://twitter.com/scotgregor/status/674775513311809536
