  1. Cespedes 2015 .224/.290/.480, 5 HR @ Citi Field (27 G) .273/.307/.434, 5 HR @ Comerica (52 G) .320/.353/.623, 25 HR everywhere else (80 G) https://twitter.com/ckamka/status/682283542110429184 Really shows the home parks for him weren't good power wise
  2. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 12:45 PM) That's why I don't think the Giants are the biggest threat to sign him, he's a much bigger risk in that park. I really don't see the Giants being big threats. The Orioles if they loose out on davis have supposedly are more interested in upton. Tho the Orioles owner like davis so much he's willing to give him every opportunity to come back. That supposed offer they withdrew is still kinda there. Angels don't want to hit the luxury tax and they are so right handed that might take them away from Cespedes. Only real team I see could be threats on Cespedes is tigers.
  3. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jan 5, 2016 -> 12:37 PM) Could be good news for Sox fans. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2604907...-with-right-fit "Apart from a two-month stint in Boston at the end of 2014, Cespedes has spent his career playing home games in parks that aren't known to be power-friendly. First there was O.co Coliseum, and then came Comerica Park and Citi Field. Per ESPN.com's park factors, all three tend to rate as either neutral or unfriendly parks for power hitters. Giving Cespedes a more power-friendly home ballpark to play in, therefore, could go a long way toward making sure his 2015 power breakout has some staying power. And this, naturally, is where it becomes easy to draw a line in the sand between his suitors. On one side, you have the Angels and Giants. Because it would mainly involve gambling on Cespedes' power, both clubs should be wary of signing him—even if it were at a discounted rate. Angel Stadium of Anaheim and AT&T Park are noted death traps for power hitters. As such, neither club would be putting Cespedes in a good position to continue his power-based breakout." This is why I like Cespedes more cause he hasn't fully been in a homerun park. Playing at the Cell could easily see him maintain 30+ homers. Maybe even more.
  4. It's all good. Ken Rosenthal is back so market should start moving again lol
  5. QUOTE (Knuckles @ Jan 4, 2016 -> 06:45 PM) @NickyMitch93 I was told #WhiteSox are one of the teams with an offer out to Fister... No word on the favorite mulling over offers from many teams 1 yr deal wouldn't be bad. Help him rebuild his value
  6. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Jan 4, 2016 -> 02:02 PM) Fister has 1-2 year offers from multiple clubs. I wonder if the White Sox are one of those clubs I was wondering the same thing. I don't want Latos with his personality problems
  7. Danks needs to go the NL and play in a pitcher park. He's been homer prone lately. Needs to pitch in a big park
  8. You can count out Edwin Jackson. Close to agreement with marlins
  9. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/pricing-ale...hree-year-deal/ I'll put this on the correct thread lol
  10. We marvel at #Dodgers left-handedness, but 2015 #WhiteSox had 116 starts by LHP, most in #MLB since 1983 #Yankees. (h/t STATS LLC) @FS1 https://twitter.com/jonmorosi/status/683783088388845571
  11. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jan 2, 2016 -> 09:07 PM) There are no requirements. They could offer him one as long as he stays on team for the year. So if that's the case maybe a 1 yr deal which would forfeit the pick this year but recoup the pick next year as long as he plays well and stays with the team the whole year
  12. QUOTE (SouthSideSale @ Jan 2, 2016 -> 06:33 PM) Sucks to give up a pick but Desmond is intriguing. Can't believe he turned down $107 million and had a bad contract year. The question i have is say the Sox sign Desmond to a 1 yr deal would he be eligible to be a qualifying offer free agent again next year if he performs well. really can't find the rules stating what is the requirements. Other idea tho is sign him to a 2 year deal with a opt out after 1st year then I believe for sure can qualify for offer. If you look at kazmirs deal it's for 3 years but can opt out after the first year and I'm pretty sure one of the baseball guys said he can get a qualifying offer again.
  13. QUOTE (peavy44 @ Jan 2, 2016 -> 12:48 PM) He doesn't play RF. Neither does Cespedes or Gordon for that matter
  14. QUOTE (ChiSoxFanMike @ Jan 1, 2016 -> 09:27 PM) Does anyone know the relationship between Abreu and Cespedes? Are they friends? I posted a article a while back and Abreu said he would like Cespedes on the team and thinks he would be good for the team.
  15. @ChuckGarfien why do you think white sox only want to give Cespedes or Gordon a 3 year deal? https://twitter.com/antwanferguson0/status/...072572452388864 Negotiating. And it sounds like no one else has offered anything more. That's where it's at. https://t.co/pDiGODC1mD https://twitter.com/ChuckGarfien/status/683120032080072705
  16. I'm really not that worried. It's a buyers market right now. More outfielders then teams are in desperate for. There's teams out there with some money to spend but seems everyone is just sitting back waiting for the market to fall to them. Orioles are more interested in Davis and have reports that they won't touch a really high amount for Cespedes. Royals are the other really team on gordon with maybe the cards laying back. Hot stove on mlb said that giants could be out there but said maybe they might be better with fowler. Fowler could bring the cf defense and play LF then slide over to cf when pagan leaves next year. Sox are really ones to be fully linked to the outfielders recently. Have to imagine they get one.
  17. I could see the Sox only wanting to do the 3 year deal for gordon. The other 2 I could see them go to a 4 or 5 year deal which was reported before that Sox were prefering a 4 or 5 deal. I think since supposedly the Sox were wanting gordon first that this is a ploy to get him for a 3 year deal maybe. But has to be pretty good chance Sox gets one of the 2 since they keep getting linked to them and only seems to be the team getting fully linked to them
  18. QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Dec 30, 2015 -> 07:07 PM) @PatrickHoward50 "Hearing talks broke down because Yoenis Cespedes wants a 6-year deal, while White Sox only want to offer 5. Upton out of picture. (Pt. 1)." "White Sox still prefer Cespedes, may circle back to Alex Gordon if K.C. offer is low. White Sox willing to add 5th year to Gordon contract." ...So, I think that says all it does needs to about that whole saga in terms of his tweets last night. I think he's just going off of ideas after new stuff came out from National writers
  19. @ChiSoxraBBit White Sox will not go over $100 million -- just a guess https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/681912628512436227 This is what that actually tweet said.
  20. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/white-sox/...breus-attention Abreu sees Cespedes as a good fit
  21. QUOTE (raBBit @ Dec 30, 2015 -> 01:04 PM) This is from someone in a position to get info but I don't know if I can trust. The two numbers he threw out were 5/108 and 6/125. Take with whatever amount of salt you like. Scott Merkin told me the Sox won't go over 100 million. Didn't Merkin say that Sox won't go over 100 million as being just a guess
  22. Source: #WhiteSox want deal to be done so Hahn is ready to move on to other needs RHP and SS https://twitter.com/NickyMitch93/status/682038738965426178 More from this guy again
  23. #WhiteSox haven't signed anyone to 9-figure deal but tried w/ Tanaka. Rick Hahn said same $ was poss. in future. https://t.co/nc5dep7LZD https://twitter.com/CSNHayes/status/682036719768748032 Kinda weird hayes pops up with this after all this smoke going on today.
  24. Source: #WhiteSox closing in on a outfielder Cespedes is their favorite don't want to give up a pick but don't count out Gordon just yet https://twitter.com/NickyMitch93/status/682036364066471936 Seen alot of stuff coming from this guy on Sox today
  25. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Dec 29, 2015 -> 08:22 PM) @barstoolWSD No bulls***, I have it on very good authority that the White Sox and Yo are "close" This guy actually has some credibility. @PatrickHoward50 I was just told 6/125 https://twitter.com/barstoolWSD/status/682022766078504961
